i want to find PRO LDS discussion boards.....looking for the best ones....THX

Are you talking about an online scripture/gospel study board?

All the ones I used to go to weren't usually LDS run, but we simply had representation. This is the only one I know, likely the best.

Good luck! After searching the net to see if there is any such animal, it doesn’t look like it. Hope I’m wrong and that there are LDS discussion boards where faithful members gather to increase their knowledge of eternal truth without unedifying input’ from bitter lapsed members and antiMormon trolls. If someone here knows if there is such a discussion board, I’m going to sign-up immediately.

https://nauvoo.site/.  Been circling the drain of inactivity, could use some fresh blood.  This is the remnant of Orson Scott Card's Nauvoo forum, it's members kept it going after OSC closed his site down.

https://thirdhour.org/.  Also been circling the drain of inactivity, run by the More Good foundation, will probably lose it's funding in the next year, but still could use some fresh blood.  This is the old lds.net.

Reddit has some! Do a search and each subreddit will have it's rules, some which are explicitly pro-LDS.

If anyone knows they probably won’t tell you where they are. That would lead to a rash of all those heathens they are trying to avoid.

“Wherefore, hearken ye together and let me show unto you even my wisdom—the wisdom of him whom ye say is the God of Enoch, and his brethren,

Who were separated from the earth, and were received unto myself—a city reserved until a day of righteousness shall come—a day which was sought for by all holy men, and they found it not because of wickedness and abominations;

And confessed they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth;

But obtained a promise that they should find it and see it in their flesh.”

One day the true and living discussion board shall come!

I wouldn't recommend reddit. Even the pro LDS ones are very toxic and tend to have a lot of issues. Reddit isn't a good place.

This board is easily the best one for reasonable discussion, although I have noticed a marked downturn in activity.
We used to have far more regular posters and large numbers of active discussion threads.  Now we can go days with only a couple of posts.

I visit a couple of others but they are all never-ending attacks on the faithful and not particularly interesting.

Agreed. I joined when a fresh-faced RM, just 21. There are still a lot of people around from that time, but there are others I miss.

I'll be honest, I find most of the discussions less-than invigorating right now. When I joined there was a lot more discussion on doctrinal topics. I feel like most center on social issues, many of which I just feel apathetic towards or have no clear opinion.

Agreed.
We need more doctrinal and historical discussion, and a LOT less discussion on social issues and Church politics.
I even settle for some discussion on speculation right now.

But I feel like we're down to about a dozen regular posters so there's not much left to say.

Ask and ye shall receive.  Of course one person's doctrine and history may be another person's speculation, but fortunately you cast a wide net.

I was unsure about how welcome fringe-ish thought would be here, and judging by this thread, it would be welcome by some and not by others.  But there's at least one poster with "PROF" in his name who leaves the door open fairly wide.

So I assume that YOU wouldn't necessarily mind some newbie stirring doctrinal, historical, and/or speculative pots that don't get stirred very often?  Lemme see what I can do.

We average 200 posts a day.   Sure it use to be more but there is only so many times you can hash out the same issues.  And all that banning I do take a toll on activity.

What's the fun of running a message board if you can't ban people 😀

No matter what, you can't beat the format of this forum, it's amazing. I wonder why no other boards have this easy to navigate and most of all, easy to read through format. I appreciate whomever started it this way and I appreciate those that volunteer their precious time moderating, even if they have to ban people, it keeps things civil. And I'm sorry if I am one of those people that aren't faithful like the rest, but I attribute this board with keeping me in the church this long, or on record. And it's plain fun, because not every topic is church related, it's a blast and I learn so much on here. It even helped me in my writing or communication skills! ❤️

There’s at least two believers in Adam-God in this thread alone, so have at ‘er.

I can think of arguments both ways on that topic, so if it comes up, I might play for (or against) both teams.

Banning me repeatedly can only do so much. I am only one man. I can’t post that much.

I like this Reddit site: image.thumb.png.c0f41deb4642f22b6a3545caedca30a7.png

I like it as well.  The only problem I have found with it is that sometimes people who post about doubts or struggles will get a lot of private messages that are not church friendly.

That’s not good. Probably those r/Mormon people they are always talking about, lol. Unfortunately, there will always be trolls out there. I haven’t posted much there, but I the public comments I read seem pretty faith-promoting.
