JLHPROF Posted April 1, 2020 Posted April 1, 2020 (edited) Plus a worldwide plague. Cue the people pointing out it's all perfectly normal and natural. Luke 17:26 And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. 27 They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all. 28 Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; 29 But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. 30 Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed. Earthquake in Idaho Earthquake in UtahPlanets Align Why are moderate earthquakes in Utah and Idaho so much more important than major earthquakes elsewhere? Does God rate outside of the Mormon Corridor as less valued than inside? Are Saints who live elsewhere going to be left unaware? It wasn’t Israel, the center of Christ’s mission, that suffered disasters other than some graves opening, but the Saints and their communities that were located far away...massive death toll and cities destroyed. If alignments are significant, seems to me this one (March 10, 1982 known as the Jupiter Effect https://www.mentalfloss.com/article/76906/why-some-people-thought-world-might-end-march-10-1982 ) should have marked the beginning of the end (hmmm...it was the day my son broke my tailbone in the process of his disconnection to me, that was a disaster for me, so why not the world? Probably as relevant as a moderate Utah earthquake). I admit to getting annoyed at those who ignore significant happenings throughout the world, yet get all excited about minor ones in their own backyard as if the world revolves around them. Why not point to the earthquakes in Russia and Jamaica as they were over 7? The tornado article seems to indicate it is typical spring weather: Quote As we head into the last days of March and begin April, we see the severe weather begin to ramp up dramatically. The U.S. averages around 80 tornadoes during March with the greatest chances across the southern Gulf Coast. April averages 155 tornadoes through the U.S. with multiple hotspots including the southern Gulf, the central and southern Plains and parts of the Midwest. May, ultimately, is the peak time for severe weather in the U.S. with an average of 276 tornadoes. Earthquake in Idaho Earthquake in UtahPlanets Align The amount of earthquakes world wide, and with such frequency, along with this ever growing pandemic, does (or should) give those who believe pause to listen and learn. We are experiencing many things that are indeed very Biblical, Book of Mormon, D&C, PoGP, and the words, and warnings of Latter-day Prophets, via prophecy. One (we) would be lacking in wisdom not to listen and take note and action. This is also a wonderful opportunity for all active, inactive, and former members to learn from past attitudes of apathy, to learn form this and make, Spiritual and temporal preparations for the the future. Also for all heads of households, no matter the makeup of that family, to prepare for ourselves, but more importantly for those left behind should we no longer be here. To prepare by setting an example, and to write down what we have learned, from every impression we have received from the Holy Spirit, also to not be dismissive that it is not revelation from the Holy Spirit, or from our practical experience from this pandemic. We owe it to those we love to aide in their preparations, and to teach them how to prepare, “Temporally and Spirituality”, to swallow our pride. To admit where and when we have been wrong, in order to plot a course for the future, pointing them to “true North”, so that they can recognize how to know when the Spirit is speaking to them. I think that the most important thing which God our Father will lovingly judge us for, or rather Jesus Christ, as God has, “given all judgement unto the Son”, is how we acted toward all those whom we had stewardship over. If we have done all we can to teach and care for those whom we love whom God has given unto us, all else he will be more compassionate. As President Spencer W. Kimball taught, “service can cover a multitude of sins”, and what an opportunity we have now for “Christlike Service”. Indeed what a gift we the living have been given to be in the, “service to our fellow man”, that we “might be in the service to our God”. *steps down off soapbox* Your brother in Christ, Bill 1

Planetary alignments have been happening since the solar system formed. The article about the tornadoes seemed to indicate it was typical with it not being outside the averages for the season. The earthquake yesterday in Idaho was unusual, but there was a worse one 40 years ago. Plus where in the gospel timeline does it indicate an earthquake in 2020 Idaho is relevant while one in Japan the year before is not? This worldwide plague is unusual for this generation, but do the scriptures indicate it is more significant than the Spanish flu? Locusts...worst in 25 years, so not normal, but not that uncommon it seems. So what is it about these particular events that make them part of the gospel timeline where other similar events are not? Serious question, I would like to understand the reasoning. 5

I have to justify the winding up scene events for Salt Lake, Jackson County, and Israel? Last I checked it was Missouri that would be wiped clean and the New Jerusalem built, and nearby Adam-Ondi-Ahman when Adam, Christ and the prophets would meet. Not Berlin or Bangladesh. Last I checked the Mount of Olives where Christ will stand and the temple to be built in Jerusalem was still in Israel, not France or Mongolia. And finally last I checked Salt Lake was still the headquarters of the Church, the residence of the prophet, the temple that will stand through the Millennium and the focus of numerous end time prophecies. So yes. More significant locations in the end scene of the gospel plan.

The plague is significant because it is worldwide, locusts are in Africa, yet the earthquakes are significant because they are in Utah and Idaho. Not seeing the consistent reasoning here. I am not aware of the scriptures saying the rest of the world would be bystanders in the process. Could you quote scriptures indicating this? Matt 24 would seem to indicate a worldwide process. Quote 5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. 6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows. Serious question, I would like to understand the reasoning. My son lives in Boise with his wife, and they felt the earthquake, possibly a little more than we in Utah felt ours. I started listening to reports from Idaho about it out of concern. One guy, I believe a seismologist mentioned that they are frequent in Idaho, he mentioned that's how mountains are made throughout time. My guess is this is the point in time that we feel the earth continue it's ongoing changes, and we are in the smack dab middle, and it will continue for eons going forward. I do believe we all have a part though, especially with pollution! I hope it's a wake up call, and we will take better care of mother earth. And I do believe in God, and still don't believe it's the end of days, that's how I feel at the moment, but I have had moments of feeling it could be the end. So taking it one day at a time.
