Signs of the times is ridiculous nonsense. Even Jesus said He didn't know when. Knowing that, it is quite absurd to try to predict even a minuscule about how close the end is. Furthermore, if He comes like a thief in the nigh then He isn't going to announce that coming with a loud earthquake or tornado.

32 Now learn a parable of the afig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:

33 So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that ait is near, even at the bdoors.

34 Verily I say unto you, This ageneration shall not pass, till all these bthings be cfulfilled.

What generation specifically? Please be absolutely 100% certain. You check and I'll wait.

It's self evident. The generation that sees the branch put forth leaves.(the rebirth of Israel) My Father's generation. The greatest generation.

Which Father? The earliest followers of Jesus thought that He would return during their lives. Which generation is the greatest? Definitely not the age of the generation of sociopaths: the Boomers.

We are now at about 65,000 worldwide deaths and many parts of the world are still in the early stages and if there is any error (and there is) it is underreported. Future historians are going to have lively arguments about the actual death toll. How many deaths from pneumonia  were due to this virus but we do not have the resources to test dead bodies for recordkeeping purposes.

In many cases the cause of death are misreported or incorrectly assumed.  Even more likely is the number of people who may actually have gotten the CCP virus to be greater.  They may have simply endured it without getting too sick or bothering with obtaining medical attention.

So the numerator (deaths) could be much lower and the denominator (total number of infections) could be much higher.  The actual death rate could be less than 1%.  In which case "herd immunity" is the BEST option.  No need for drastic economic shutdowns (that is unsustainable).

`Hint: Israel became a country on May 14, 1948

Yes. Because of politics and politics alone.

actually it was one of the results of World War II. The amazing thing was the victories by the Israeli Army over the various Arab countries in a string of wars. Most notably the 1967 Six Day War and the 1973 Yom Kippur War.

If you are suggesting that the current pandemic and minor earth quakes in Utah fulfilling prophecy of the latter days, then how do you apply all the plagues. earthquakes, volcano eruptions, tsunami, floods. and other natural disasters that have been happening since the beginning of time?  Why aren't they "signs of the times".  What actually makes this time so much different that NOW we should believe they fulfill some kind of prophecy.

Whether there are natural disasters, pandemics or prosperous times and good health, the message should always be trust God.

I obviously still think messages like the one you posted is still misguided and only adds to the wolf calling that religion seems to endlessly employ.  People should be encouraged to turn toward God, not because of world calamities and fear of utter distruction, but to find peace in their lives at all times and in all places.  Our motivation to turn towards God should not be based on fear, but on seeking righteousness.

I spent three summers sailing throughout the Greek Isles.  One thing that is prevalent on those islands are these small one room churches.  They are typically about 15' x 30 feet.  Usually whitewashed walls with blue roofs.  They dot the landscape of a lot of these islands.  I mean there are hundreds of these little chapels.  Some are built literally right next to each other.  I asked why so many churches.  What I was told is that many were built by sailors out to sea during a violent storm.  They made a promise to God that if He would only save them, then they would build a church in His honor.  The storm passed, and when they reached home, true to their promise, they built these little chapels.

The thing is, I never saw anyone actually using those chapels.  They were like white sepulchres that Christ talked about.  They aren't used to worship God, or to draw near to Him. They were built to fulfill a promise made out of fear in the belief that evidently the only time a sailor needs God in his life is when he is terrified of dying.  I don't find that kind of relationship with God very healthy.  Promoting fear as a reason to turn towards God, in my opinion, is exploitive and ignorance based religion.  That is why I have such distaste for it.

The difference is these signs of the times are able to destroy the whole world in a few months. We are able to spread a virus worldwide in nothing flat,  we are able to blow up the world with nuclear weapons in nothing flat. I agree with you that we should always trust God before these things happen I want God to know my name before I scream for help.

I spent 26 days sailing from Mazatlan to Hiva Oa and another 18 days at sail to get to Samoa. During this time I had ample opportunity to get to know God and to scream for help. All of the churches that we stopped by had plenty of people in them. I'm sorry we never made it to the Mediterranean.

Just for fun...maybe we should nuke Jackson County and Daviess County and see how God won't react.

Well, we have to clear out the gentiles somehow!

But first, the Lamanites have to go up to put the fear of God into the north american gentiles.  Mormon 5:22-24 "lest a remnant of the seed of Jacob shall go forth among you as a lion, and tear you in pieces, and there is none to deliver."

If this is what the scripture means that has happened.

Quote

Mormon 5:22-24 "lest a remnant of the seed of Jacob shall go forth among you as a lion, and tear you in pieces, and there is none to deliver."

But I have not seen this.

Mormon 5:
18. But now, behold, they are led about by Satan, even as chaff is driven before the wind, or as a vessel is tossed about upon the waves, without sail or anchor, or without anything wherewith to steer her; and even as she is, so are they.

>>> The "now" was in the lifetimes of General Mormon and his son Moroni.

20. But behold, it shall come to pass that they shall be driven and scattered by the Gentiles; and after they have been driven and scattered by the Gentiles, behold, then will the Lord remember the covenant which he made unto Abraham and unto all the house of Israel.

>>> Mormon's prophecy was fulfilled with the subjugation of south and central America plus the severe dislocation of the plains native Americans in the north.  The Lord's remembrance of the Lamanites is now beginning to unfold as more of them are joining the Restored Church.

23. Know ye not that ye are in the hands of God? Know ye not that he hath all power, and at his great command the earth shall be rolled together as a scroll?

>>> God always all power but His great command for the earth to be rolled together is STILL far into the future.

24. Therefore, repent ye, and humble yourselves before him, lest he shall come out in justice against you—lest a remnant of the seed of Jacob shall go forth among you as a lion, and tear you in pieces, and there is none to deliver.

>>> The word "shall" equates to "will occur in the future" most likely between the near future and BEFORE the Millennium.
