smac97 Posted March 11, 2020 Posted March 11, 2020 From the Deseret News: Quote The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Wednesday issued three letters to members that say the coronavirus has prompted changes to April 2020’s general conference, the Missionary Training Center and other large church gatherings. General conference will be held but the proceedings will be distributed through technology only. The public will not be admitted into the Conference Center in Salt Lake City for the April 2020 general conference. Read the whole thing. -Smac 3

So maybe they will not be there either, since the general counsel is to avoid large gatherings of people. Hmm. Or maybe we are looking at this the wrong way. Maybe we can just get a blessing to make all of our health problems go away, or if not, maybe we'll just be going to the spirit world a little sooner than we expected. Both good things. Maybe this is our ticket out of this mess.

But they'd have to keep it on the low down.

Unless one was actually planning to attend at the conference center, it will not be any different for those who watch on TV. An occasional shot of the crowd is a very minor part of conference. On the flip side, lives may be spared by this decision. Everything they planned to present is not going to change. 7

It is a shame, but I think the bigger celebration should be when the church was first organized in 10 years from now, and I am sure it will be celebrated then also.

Another difference is we will not have to hear any loud objections from the audience when they ask for sustaining of the officers. ☺️
