Peacefully Posted March 11, 2020 Posted March 11, 2020 I just received word from the Stake President, through my Bishop, that we are cancelling activities this week, and then we will see how it goes after that. Stake conference is postponed. I’m in N. Texas-only a few cases here, but I think it’s good they are trying to get ahead of it. 4

I just clicked on the last post at the time I clicked on it without starting at the first one. Amazing! The public will not be admitted. I understand that to include the general membership, too, even though that wasn't specified except to say this: General conference will be held but the proceedings will be distributed through technology only. The public will not be admitted into the Conference Center in Salt Lake City for the April 2020 general conference.

In view of the circumstances, I think it would be a nice thing to have the Church leaders speak to the Church live from the grove.

pogi Posted March 11, 2020 Posted March 11, 2020 I vote to bring the choir back home for this one. It would be cool if they held it in the old tabernacle since they are not concerned about capacity. It wouldn’t feel as eerily empty and would have much better acoustics for the choir - not sure how well that translates over the tv though, but at least the GAs would enjoy it more. 3

I haven't seen anything like this before in all of my 59 years here on this planet, or at least not that I can remember. And I don't see any good reason to think there won't be more viruses coming out like this in the near future. What will happen next, I wonder. How much will things change?
