Might Not Be New Apostles?

If Glenn is called it is just a testimony that God is in control. No one else would make that call.

if Glenn Beck was called or Mitt Romney or some politician guy, it would be very interesting to see the fallout

The beginning of one of Glenn Beck's posts yesterday on FB said "I just left Church where I spent a few minutes with my church leaders.."

Elder Glenn Beck?

We'll see tomorrow.

Sure, the great thinker Glenn Beck

Glenn Beck as an apostle?  That's as crazy as Donald Trump ever being president!

President Uchtdorf announced that there would be three new apostles, they will probably be announced this afternoon

sounds like tomorrow they will

Both Elder Rasband and Bishop (Now Elder) Stevenson are scheduled to speak at the priesthood session this evening. The schedule was set, of course, prior to the announcement of their new callings.

I am particularly gratified about the call of Elder Rasband, knowing that his has been such a powerful voice in support of the preservation of religious freedom.

Once Elder Rasband and Elder Eyring came and spoke at our stake conference to gether. Elder Rasbands talk was on hometeaching. I remember him saying that he hated going hometeaching......right up to the moment he rang the door bell.

Who keeps opposing? is this a thing now?

Someone opposed?

I think it will be a regular occurrence going forward now that the first people did so.  Every conference someone will shout opposed, and every conference the First Presidency will refer them to their Stake Presidents.

I think it will become a conference tradition.

Will he also be fair and endorse the freedom from religion? We don't need the religious right World Destroyer getting out of control. ;)

I addressed this in a separate thread.

With the novelty having worn off, I think they will lose interest.

Did they shout out this time? I didn't get that watching the TV transmission.

The concept of religious freedom incorporates freedom from religion-based oppression.

To get some flavor of his attitude on this subject, see my coverage here of his recent BYU Devotional Assembly address.

I didn't hear or see anything watching it from home.

Surprise, surprise. Three privileged white guys from Utah. Who would have guessed.

Maybe this was done on purpose to tick certain people off.
