annewandering Posted March 20, 2013 Posted March 20, 2013 What annoys me about this is not its veracity, it is just gossip, but the effect it will have on those who think bullying the church works. Bringing something to the GA's attention is one thing but a bullying campaign is offensive.

People can be extremely petty about things.BTW has their claim that no woman has prayed in general conference been at all verified?

It was just a petition.And whether or not the petition "worked" won't be known until the first weekend in April.

But not this time.However, I think the General Authorities are gentle men without guile and whose concerns and interests would not be quite as petty as mine. Are they planning on breaking in?According to the article they want the Brethern to acknowledge them, allow them to enter knowingly. This would signify they are prospective elders. These poor individuals are on a definite road of apostasy. I often wished those men who wanted to be bishop would be called. Wanting is often so much better than having. Not my will, but thine be done. Those on the road to apostasy seldom remember this principle.

There isn't any doctrinal prohibition for only priesthood holders. If there were, no non-members or prospective elders not yet aaronic priesthood holders would be invited. And they invite the whole world by video after the meeting. So I'd just let them come in and be there instead of hanging with their friends if they asked for the tickets. But shouldn't we do a new thread for this?
