On two occasions (most recently within the past 1-2 weeks) I was 'certain' I too was positive as my wife has just tested positive. On both occasions I was wrong. I did feel like crud though and worse than I ever remember feeling with the flu. Go figure. Let us know what the results are. : ) I don’t think it is psychosomatic. The symptoms hit out of nowhere when I had no reason to suspect exposure. Based on timeframe I most likely got it at church on Sunday. Maybe that can bump me up to high-tier Terrestrial or one of those menial low level Celestial angel people. The symptoms are pretty specific. The only thing like this in my past was a really bad case of strep throat and while this matches the symptoms of strep their intensity is reversed. The stuff that should be bad is mild and the stuff that should be mild to moderate are bad. I also oddly had someone’s tongue in my mouth and throat in the last week but that is a whole other weird story and is probably not what you are thinking. In fact if you are guessing what actually happened my question would be “What is wrong with you?” 1

I am waiting on test results. It is miserable but fortunately the symptoms are mild so far. It has been a cycle of fever followed by the fever breaking and starting over again. Also a mild sore throat but a lot of pain when swallowing. That pain has lessened in the last day so I can do more than force down water and medication now. Also have general fatigue, headache, and body aches. I really hope I don’t need to go to the hospital because I have little chance of getting in. If I do need it and get in I am refusing intubation and signing a DNR order. I am not eager to live under the conditions that usually follow those procedures. Plus maybe voluntarily dying more quickly instead of taking a bed that could save someone else might get me bumped up to the Terrestrial. I know I have a low chance of it getting bad. Then again, I play enough games that I know that dice hit improbable results often enough that discounting it happening is mindless optimism. Are you eligible for the antibody infusion? My husband and I both believe that kept him out of the hospital. He still feels lousy but at least he is home. Have you been checking your oxygen levels? Low oxygen levels and the wheezing caused me to take him to the ER. I hope you don’t have it, but if you do, early treatment is so important. Edited October 2, 2021 by Peacefully 1

I thought for sure it was my turn once I found out my wife was positive. But since you mention psychosomatic, I wrestle with this. Once I started feeling under-the-weather - and it did end up being much worse than that - I wondered whether I was 'creating' a symptom profile believing that my 'number was up'. I think I've wrestled with this all of my life. Once the notion gets into my head, I think I'm capable of believing anything. : ( 2

We bought a pulse oximeter from Target for $20. It helped me know when I needed to get David to the ER. Worth the money, imho. If you have it, I pray your symptoms are mild ( although mild symptoms for covid can feel pretty bad, I think) Edited October 3, 2021 by Peacefully 1

Go get the antibodies as soon as you can if it is covid. Most people I know who have had breakthrough cases have had mild symptoms. They still last a week or so but they don’t get scary bad. My immediate family got a nasty bug with covid symptoms but it wasn’t covid. There are a lot of things going around right now. Please keep us all updated. 🙏 1
The Nehor Posted October 3, 2021 Posted October 3, 2021 The fever is almost gone. It should be gone. My temperature is back to normal but I still have the occasional sweats as if it is breaking. I have a worsening headache but I am pretty sure that is withdrawal from the amphetamines that keep my ADHD in check which I stopped because the last thing I need with covid is heightened cardiovascular activity and higher blood pressure even if it is normal. A few months ago I crash dieted due to rising blood pressure. That may have helped ward off nasty cardiovascular side effects so may have been a blessing. I weigh less now than I have at any point since High School. Sadly the sickness may be pushing me towards Middle School numbers but my appetite is coming back so I don’t think it will come to that. And my blood pressure just shot up at the building of a temple in Fort Worth. While the sessions are not full in Dallas one obstacle we have faced in helping our Youth is how freakishly difficult it was getting to get a youth baptismal session. There was speculation about a new temple in Texas but I was sure if there was one it would be further out. On a personal note while I love the Dallas Temple for many reasons a new one would be nice. The Dallas Temple is one of the least beautiful temples in my not-so-sophisticated opinion. 3

I’m guessing north or west since that is where a lot of the growth is.

I know the church has various parcels of land but I haven’t talked to my friend who works development lately. He would have a good idea where it might be. I live in Fort Worth (technically). I pay taxes there but my mailing address lists a different city. Part of a land dispute/deal a decade back. 1

Calm Posted October 10, 2021 Author Posted October 10, 2021 Quote Israeli researchers reached similar results in a preliminary trial at the Barzilai Medical Center in March. In addition to its effect on blood clots, they found that aspirin carried immunological benefits and that the group taking it was 29% less likely to become infected with the virus in the first place. “Aspirin is low cost, easily accessible and millions are already using it to treat their health conditions,” said Chow. “Finding this association is a huge win for those looking to reduce risk from some of the most devastating effects of COVID-19 Nice….

What if an antiviral were found that cured everyone who contracted covid-19, even the very ill, thereby preventing death from this for everyone? It seems obvious that we should all be for that, right? Even if it promoted vaccine hesitancy, seeing that it would render the vaccine unnecessary, shouldn't we be for it? My answer has to do with physical things rather than behavior so I hope it is ok to reply to you. The big advantage of the vaccine before getting sick verses an antiviral after getting sick is that people are less likely to even get the symptoms and problems with the vaccine. As a type 1 diabetic I found my first symptom of pregnancy was very high blood sugar for several days that I couldn't lower with anything I tried. This was within a day or 2 of conception. I have discovered since then that lots of sicknesses affect my body before I am aware. If I hadn't been testing my blood sugar I may not have known I had any symptoms of pregnancy. I suspect there are a lot of people who have covid who don't actually know the negative effects it is having on their bodies because they are not testing all the various things. What if you just get a runny nose as a covid symptom? I know of no doctor who is going to prescribe a kidney test for you, but what if it is actually affecting kidneys - that you just don't notice the symptoms? So there is a real medical advantage of vaccines possibly preventing you from getting sick verses meds helping you get better. 6
MiserereNobis Posted October 10, 2021 Posted October 10, 2021 Since I am a teacher, I got my Pfizer booster shot yesterday. I’m feeling really sick today, like I did after shot #2. Aches, chills, but no fever. It’s so strange feeling very sick but knowing I’m not actually sick - it’s just my body doing it to myself. No mass for me today. Maybes I’ll rewatch Contagion. That movie was quite prescient, including the blogger advocating fake medicine as treatment. 4

Hospitals have long been using blood-thinners to treat Covid. The good news is that this study showed these significant benefits with only a low-dose (81mg) aspirin regimen. Hopefully more research can duplicate these findings, but with the affordability, safety, and over-the-counter availability of Aspirin, this is promising.
