sounds like what you are saying is that it's possible to go to Church and miss the Gospel, I totally get that! and you're right we need to see where and what both are and fit together

That's me to a "T". I want what that lady has in Bcuzbcuz's post. Edited by Tacenda

You sure? I'll bet you still got it. Oops, maybe I'm not sure what you mean. Whatever it is, you are doing loads better than me. Edited by Tacenda

what are you saying?! ah, maybe but I am trying! that's why I don't let things bother me as much anymore or people I guess-except for ward council meetings

Yea, it was good when I no longer had to go to those meetings. But they weren't quite as exciting as yours sounded or atleast the behind the scenes stuff.

Actually, they are not all that different in meaning.

From Wikipedia:

In spite of the semantics of the words, what I mean to say--the meat of my argument--is that I can identify two classes of artifice:

1) That which is entered into in full awareness, sometimes with the intent to pass it off as literal truth for the purpose of asserting control over others.

2) That which becomes real through the telling of it, and in the desire for it to be literally true.

I hold that most worthy religion is of the second type of artifice, and when it is founded on the first type, it cannot last long, for it lacks sincerity.

Spiritual witness is not something peculiar to Mormonism. True believers, no matter which stripe or scale, have recieved their own witness. None of it can be proven.

Or all of it is proven. Take your pick. It is your prejudice that there is only one answer.

I've been away from this board for several months. I really have missed this kind of friendly banter, as exemplified in this thread. And I actually understand Mark's comment just previous. Cool.
