The clock goes back one hour.

When we were cruising on our sailboat we went by UTC. We didn't care what time it was anywhere else. Now I'm on Pacific Standard Time I wish we'd go to  pacific daylight savings time and keep it there.

Not that it matters, but it’s known officially as Daylight Saving Time.

Just curious. Do you venture way out into the Pacific? Do you use satellite GPS? In the old days they needed an accurate clock in order to calculate longitude.

Why does it matter though? 🤔

Yeah, we used to. 2600 miles to the Marquesas Islands from Mazatlan and so forth. We cheated and used GPS but my father in law gave us an atomic watch. It kept perfect time. We kept a running dead reckoning plot every hour unless we were way out then every 4 hours

Hey guys. I just wanted to mention that tomorrow the time will shift 1 hour back in time in the United States. Don't forget it people! Otherwise you will arrive on the wrong time on church tomorrow. 🕚

Thank you.  My birthday was last Monday.  It fit a lot better as a birthday gift before they moved it to the first Sunday in November from the last Sunday in October.  I keep forgetting they moved it in even though it’s been almost 2 decades, lol.

Birthday gifts from Calm's birthday to EVERYONE!  It's like Christmas or something. (Except for those in Arizona, sorry).

But the Grinch is coming in March to take it back.

I just have noticed that the time have changed into the summer time in the United States. Why have the time changed so early if i may be so free to ask? It's not even springtime yet officially... 🤷‍♀️ In the Netherlands the time will change on 30 march into the summertime.

We used to change the clocks back in October and then forward in April but they shortened the length of standard time so now we go back in november and forward in march.  It doesn't have much to do with the seasons.  There are even a few states that don't recognize daylight savings time at all and so their clocks never change.

It looks like it’s most of Arizona and Hawaii.

Just don't live in Tuba City, AZ.  Half of it is in the Navajo reservation which follows Daylight Savings and half of it is in the Hopi reservation which doesn't follow Daylight savings.  So, you can cross the street and move an hour ahead or backwards.  https://apnews.com/article/daylight-saving-arizona-navajo-hopi-native-american-a1016ce873b772ffae544de9fbcd29d9

Plus there is Jeddito. Jeddito is a Navajo exclave inside Hopi Reservation. So there's Jeditto at mountain time, inside of Hopi nation at Pacific time, inside of Navajo Nation at mounntain time, inside of Arizona at Pacific time.
