I'm a regional YSA rep for my stake and I'm also a baptistery coordinator.

In the temple? And if so, which temple?

I'm currently Asst Librarian...

After 34 years in the trenches...nothing right now. I am in new Ward and I am a tough person to get to know.

Executive Secretary to the Bishop for a little over two years.

Before that, Assistant Ward Clerk for about four years.

Before that, Counselor in an Elder's Quorum Presidency for 2-3 years.  (I know, I know ... you said current, but I felt like taking a trip down Memory Lane. ;))

Take heart, Pa Pa.  The Lord knows you, even if you feel like no one else does. :)

Ward mission leader for 2 years now, I love x 10,000 the missionaries because they are so little! hahaha! you genuinely want to help them. I despise ward council and PEC mtgs and  ah, I just want so much for the missionaries that come through here!!!

Ward choir director. It's a new experience for me, and it's really stretching me.

I'm having fun doing stuff I didn't think I could do, like arranging music.

But parts of it I'm really struggling with, like the suspense of wondering if enough people will show up to practices for there to be a critical mass. I hate that part of it, frankly.

Never again will I be casual about ward choir participation.

Cubmaster. It's not as bad as you are imagining.

Whew! :o

Good luck! :)  (Well, OK: Luck has nothing to do with it, but you know what I mean!)

Scoutmaster.  It is as bad as you think it is.  At least for me.

When I was 13 I had a YM Leader say "If there is any justice in the universe, you will spend your entire adult life as a Young Men's Leader, to atone for what you put us through!" I have been:

Den Leader

Cubmaster

11-year-old Scoutmaster

Asst Scoutmaster

Scoutmaster

Asst Varsity Leader

Explorer and Venturing Crew Advisor

Counselor and Ward YM President

Bishopric 2nd Counselor

Stake YM 2nd Counselor

Deacon's Teacher's and Priest's Advisor

and am currently Ward Scout Committee Chairman.

I have of course had other callings, but for the most part the curse has held. Life is good!

I taught Gospel Doctrine for six years and loved every minute of it.  Then we got pulled into the YSA branch in our stake and now I teach RS.  But RS lessons don't have the same challenge as GD.  They don't force me to dig deeply into the scriptures, and it's too easy to float along. I don't like it as well.

But that isn't what you asked.  So yeah, RS teacher.

Come now Cal, you ladies are always creative. I'm sure there is some way to slip in a few of the more 'interesting' topics and stir in a bit of controversy.

I do!  But you can only go so far with our YSA group.  For the most part, their heads are stuck on dating mode.

I don't have a calling. We're transients with only 2 weeks in our new ward. I would have loved to do something a transient can do like clean up.
