In church, and at the store, not at home. I am not that cruel.

However vaccinations  don't seem to prevent infection on anyone I know.

No, I think that's great..I wasn't expecting you to wear them at home. :) I don't know how I've managed to not get it. I'm a sub at the schools even, but wear my mask. And don't mask at home, and have been bad at not limiting some family get togethers, w/o masks and all but one child is unvaxxed. But both my husband and I are vaxxed and boostered, and still covid free for some reason.

Sounds like you are doing okay.  I am also fully vaxed and I also teach.  I worry about when I am in the classroom.  Only About half of the students use a mask even though administration strongly encourages it.  I am now double masking.  This is a UVU.

If you are afraid of the virus, Vaccines are a false hope. Better go with social distancing.  Move out of the house while they work on it. Then wait a week for any virus to die and then come back would be the safest bet.

I totally don't get this reasoning.

The best bet is to go with all options that increase her chance of not getting the virus.

Given her condition, moving out is not really an option.

If the contractor will not provide vaccinated workers we will not allow them to do the work. Period.

I hope you find vaccinated people to do the work.

If the builder can't find a vaccinated person to do the work, maybe you can look for workers and ask the builder to compensate you for the cost.

If the vaccine requirements are in the contract then he should do that, otherwise he may be in breach of contract.  If they aren't in the contract, and he can't find anyone vaccinated to do the work, you may have to wait or pay for the work yourself.

I would still try for extra precautions.  Anyone, Vaccinated or not can carry this variant of the disease (as we found out in our family).

Awww...gone are the days I worried less that my 2 year old granddaughter would get it or end up in the hospital, especially where she's in a daycare three days a week, and around her parents who are antivax to the max! Now it seems more real. :(

It breaks my heart about the percentage of the very young not the very old, in hospitals. And even seeing adults that were mentioned, that are hooked up to ventilators and who knows what else and regretting being anti-vaxxers, I watched a few of these the other day too. :(

Following acute infection with severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) a significant proportion of individuals develop prolonged symptoms, a serious condition termed post-acute coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) syndrome (PACS) or long COVID. Predictors of PACS are needed. In a prospective multicentric cohort study of 215 individuals, we study COVID-19 patients during primary infection and up to one year later, compared to healthy subjects. We discover an immunoglobulin (Ig) signature, based on total IgM and IgG3 levels, which – combined with age, history of asthma bronchiale, and five symptoms during primary infection – is able to predict the risk of PACS independently of timepoint of blood sampling. We validate the score in an independent cohort of 395 individuals with COVID-19. Our results highlight the benefit of measuring Igs for the early identification of patients at high risk for PACS, which facilitates the study of targeted treatment and pathomechanisms of PACS.

Just testing the waters here.  I waded through the first 10 pages of this thread and found only Harry T. Clark in line with my views, though there may be more.

My RN wife, became wary early on about the official pronouncements on the whole COVID-19 scenario when she noted the lies told about hydroxychloroquine by Anthony Fuauci.  She had been taking Plaquenil (a brand name for hydroxy.) every day for almost 30 years for her Lupis and was well acquainted with the potential adverse effects if any; and had certainly experienced nothing adverse from taking the drug; an experience in line with the probably millions of people world-wide suffering from this condition who also take this drug on a daily basis.

This experience coupled with a lot of research, made us well acquainted with protocols put forth for the early treatment of COVID, particularly by the likes of Dr. Peter McCullough; and we have had great success using these protocols for ourselves and several members of our family, extended family and for friends.

As a result, we have largely avoided the fears and extreme behaviors that seem to be so rampant among so many of the world's population, and certainly by most of the posters on this thread.

It seem to us to be the height of irrationality to ignore these kinds of protocols, which have been shown to greatly reduce the progression of the disease and certainly hospitalization and even death resulting from it.

Controlled tests exist for a reason. When you have a disease where most people get better without medical intervention you can decide anything is a cure.

ANYTHING.

Want to prevent vaccine shedding (which is not a thing)?

The other recent fun cure/prevention tip is to vaporize hydrogen peroxide and inhale it. Yeah, poison your lungs to keep the Covid away. We had to burn down the village in order to save it except it didn’t even save it.

This is just mind numbing.  I cannot understand how people can go off the rails like this.

So you admit that COVID-19 is "a disease where most people get better without medical intervention"?  That's progress.

And of course, your "ANYTHING" can include universally required shots of an experimental medical technique that hasn't gone through adequate long-term testing, and which has the body create an actual antigen in the form of the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein (allegedly).  Except, there is mounting evidence that the spike protein isn't as benign as its developers would have hoped.

The rest of your post amounts to straw man input.  Rather expected, given the tenor of most of the posts on this thread.

There is a lot that is "mind numbing" about this whole COVID scenario.  Granted.

What Nehor and yourself seem to be missing, however, are the arguments from the other side of the equation.  For instance, Dr. Peter McCullough avers that there are about 250 papers extant that show the effectiveness of hydroxychloroquine against COVID virus infection; and about 60 current papers showing similar results for ivermectin, 30 of which use randomized trials.  These are only two of the treatments that McCullough categorizes as "sequenced multi-drug therapeutics", which also included drugs/treatments in case a COVID sufferer is hospitalized.

And he cites multiple studies that show that these protocols greatly reduce hospitalization and death (compared to predicted results), if administered in a proper and timely manner.   He and others also cite multiple countries and provinces where these protocols have been put in place and almost entirely eradicated even the incidence of COVID-19, etc.

If you were interested, you could do very well in learning the arguments for these kinds of protocols by watching/listening to Dr. Peter McCullough's 24 Sep 21 presentation to a group in Michigan where he covers all the essential arguments for their use, etc.  You could listen to him in several other recent venues, as well; and there are multiple other experts/presenters who cover much the same ground and more.  Here's his 24 Sep presentation:    https://rumble.com/vn4iy9-dr.-peter-mccullough-md-covid-early-treatment-and-prevention-9242021.html

Just a week ago, Sen.  Ray Johnson held a 5 hour "2nd Opinion" panel discussion on this topic in a Senate subchamber, with several very qualified participants, including Dr. McCullough.   It's an investment in time, but should greatly open your eyes to the alternative subject.  But you have to bring an open-mind to the table.

To be progress it would have to be a new belief. Then again a lot of conspiracy nuts rewrite history so why should I be surprised?

The vaccine did go through controlled medical trials. There is no such mounting evidence. There is mounting piles of ox feces tossed around to convince the ignorant that there is such evidence but when you get down to actual data it is smoke and mirrors.

Awesome, he “avers” that? Did he bother to produce those papers? Or are we to take the misinformation peddler at his word?

No.  The progress would be your evolving from the belief that COVID-19 was a deadly killer disease to one “where most people get better without medical intervention”.  Now, if you believed that from the start, it wouldn’t apply to you.

You ignored my “long-term testing” qualifier for the mRNA vaccines.

Actually, there is “mounting evidence that the spike protein isn’t as benign as its developers would have hoped”.  Hardly smoke and mirrors, or “piles of ex feces”, as you so emotionally put it.

Straw man inference refers to your not bringing up and refuting any of what I mentioned, but something that can be easily ridiculed.  A deflection from any points I was making.

My hope of being surprised by your input is being dashed.  Wikipedia, as a reliable source on controversial  topics and people?  Dream on.

Now I like Wikipedia on straight forward, non-controversial topics, especially where something technical or scientific or even philosophical and biographical is being described and explained.  I've even contributed money to them 2-3 times.  Outside of this type of input, however, they too often and egregiously drop the ball.  I've experienced this again and again.  But you're welcome to it.

My personal experience is having collected about 15 published papers describing the good effects of ivermectin in combating the COVID-19 infection, before I ever heard McCullough's claim .  So when I heard McCullough state that there were about 60 such papers, to include 30 using random trials, he was very believable.  This has been reinforced by seeing him back up everything he says using scientific papers and studies.

Do you also reject the 'belief' that polio is a 'deadly killer disease'?

Quoting myself from a post in September:

Quote

According to the CDC, 72 per cent of those infected with poliovirus are asymptomatic.

For nearly all of the remaining 28 per cent, symptoms are similar to influenza and clear up in 2-5 days.

Only 0.5 per cent of those infected with poliovirus ever develop paralysis or weakness in arms or legs.

Of the less than 0.5 per cent who develop paralysis, on average only about 6 per cent die from it.

This means that polio has a 'survival rate' of around 99.97 per cent (with another 0.47 per cent suffering long-term effects).

Another way of phrasing this is that the infection fatality rate of polio is 0.03 per cent.

A study published in JAMA in January this year used CDC seroprevalence data to estimate actual (i.e. underreported) infection rates in the US through November 2020. It found that Covid at that point had an actual hospitalisation rate of 2.04 per cent and an infection fatality rate of 0.65 per cent. (This is considerably lower than the estimated 2 per cent case fatality rate, which only considers diagnosed cases.)

If accurate, these data mean that Covid-19 has an infection fatality rate 21.6 times greater than poliovirus. It also means that Covid has been killing 1.38 times more Americans than polio leaves with long-term health impacts.

I'm simply not too impressed with how COVID-19 is diagnosed, especially in view of the incentives given to hospitals for COVID-19 treatment.  The CDC recommended the RT PCR method no longer be used as a diagnostic tool after the end of 2021.

Consequently, comparing it to polio cases seems rather strange.  And hasn't polio been virtually eradicated anyway?

My interest regarding COVID-19 is the reality and efficacy of what McCullough terms sequenced multi-drug therapies, for both early treatment and in-hospital treatment for those who didn't catch the early treatment soon enough.

As mentioned, what I've read about these treatments and their good effects from many very qualified people, including McCullough, has been bolstered by first-hand experience of their remarkable efficacy among members of my own and extended family and friends, coupled with many, many similar stories from a wide variety of people.  Consequently, we have not been marinating in the fear of SARS-CoV-2 and its variants.

There is quite a Wiki write up on your doctor.

Quote

During the COVID-19 pandemic, McCullough advocated for early treatment including hydroxychloroquine,[23][24] criticized the response of the National Institutes of Health and the Food and Drug Administration,[23] dissented from public health recommendations, and contributed to COVID-19 misinformation

McCullough doesn't really inspire a lot of confidence when he gets slammed by the truth like that.

You do realise that's because of vaccines, right?

Before that, polio killed and disabled a smaller percentage of Americans than Covid has killed.

I see that you've edited your original statement (possibly in response to my pointing out the obvious?):

It's very close. Since the Global Polio Eradication Initiative began its intensive vaccination program in 1988, 'wild poliovirus cases have decreased by over 99% ... from an estimated 350,000 cases in more than 125 endemic countries then, to 33 reported cases in 2018'. Truly, despite its rocky history, a triumph of immunisation!

Your reply was before my edit, which I did after I realized your post contained more extended info on polio.  Not too interested in your polio subject.  Sorry.
