What would you emphasize if you could speak in General Conference?

I would just never see myself as having the moral center, to tell Millions what they should do, or how they should live.

Sounds like you have the makings of an excellent talk.

Follow Christ and be kind where and whenever possible.

So the same as everyone else.

I'd probably just put together a discourse using Joseph Smith's teachings.  Especially the ones that don't make the sound bites in the manuals.

Maybe, but still a burden I would never hope to bare. I have two very hard feet of clay, and am often haunted by my weaknesses.

It would be awesome if we could get the following:

  • announcement of a new project to translate by Urim&Thummim the record of Adam&Eve
  • revelation on whether the universe is infinite, how many dimensions it has
  • revelation on how many intelligences are waiting to be invited to become spirit children, if there are an infinite number of them
  • announcement of who were Zenos and Zenock, when and where they lived and their records

I wanna start a thread on that one, do you wanna start it? Been  thinking about that a lot lately.

I haven't been around as much, but that would be lovely. Do we dare? ha ha.

Tough call I am a little down on the board today, quality of posts, etc.  At this point I could go either way.  I feel strongly about the doctrine and have thought about it a lot on the other hand....  hmmmm.  :)

I am officially taking a hiatus from the board for at least a week, but I heard a quote relevant to the body of Christ "In the face of human Angels we see the face of Christ".

Great idea for ministering

That also applies to Father, whose face is also the face of Christ.

We ARE "His face"

When we speak, every word is a symbol, and the words "God has a tangible body" are themselves symbols.

One might believe that the words "God has a tangible body" means that WE are God's tangible body. But then even those words are of course also symbols.  All language is metaphor. When we speak of chairs and tables, chairs and tables do not come out of our mouths. Symbols come out of our mouths.

See you later!

If we are truly the children of God and in a path of discipleship to be conformed to the image of Christ (Rom. 8:28), we MUST live and love like Jesus (Moroni 7)
