Not sure it means anything, but it could be indicative of a slight course correction for the Church or for policy. They are also calling it the "President Nelson world tour" which just screams rock star to me. Not a big fan of that phrasing choice. 3

They'll need lots of prayers and hopefully they've got a nurse or someone accompanying them who is tasked solely with protecting their health. 11 cities and circumnavigating the planet in two weeks can't be easy on men and women their age.

It does sound kind of like there will be a trunk load of T-shirts I wish them good luck and safe trip.

An interesting country and history and maybe somebody can tell me how many mormons are there in this country and about any specific conversions there. Does anyone (don't laugh at me) know of any conversions or other religions in Turkey?

It is being replaced by a far more conservative form of Islam. Not a fan of Erdogan, their current leader.

smac97 Posted March 24, 2018 Posted March 24, 2018 My parents are currently serving as public affairs missionaries in Zimbabwe. Zimbabwe is one of the stops for president Nelson. My parents said they have spent over a month working out the logistics of this visit, which are significant. 2

I can't imagine the red tape and all things that would have to happen to get this visit. They must be tired but anxious.

Many point out that Christians are not persecuted in the Western world but I have never heard anyone seriously suggest they are safe in Iran or Pakistan or scores of other nations. 1
