I wasn't sure whether to put this in news but decided here, because I think it is of import that may inspire discussion.

Tree of Life Augmented Reality

I think it's interesting that we get a taste here of what we are already doing by walking in THIS world, coming from our previous world.

When I hear people ask for visions and how we don't have any, I say, Yea we do, here you go. So here is another one. Each of us can now have the vision of the tree of life. I also say, Earth Life IS the vision, from the point of view of our previous life.

*** I don't know if the title can be edited to stay as "AR", because every time I save the second "R" becomes lower case. I don't know how to make it stay.

Wonderful.  Of course we already have a whole range of virtual reality experiences available.  Ann Madsen, Daniel Smith, and others have created virtual tours of the tabernacle of Moses, and temples of Solomon and of Herod.  Egyptologists have created virtual tours of ancient Egyptian temples.  Other historians have created virtual tours of ancient Rome.

I know this from personal knowledge the vision thing seems to be cultural.  When the Church started Missionary work in Quebec Canada it did not go well.  They would start with the First Vision and the standard response would be Oh yes my Mother, Father, Brother, spouse, friend etc... had a vision also.  The missionaries had to adapt and start somewhere else and later bring in the First Vision to establish authority.  I am sure there are still visionary cultures out in the world.  I do not have any current knowledge of Quebec society apart from reports that they have become more secular.

If you put a period after the A, you might be able to get it to stay capital.

I’ve tried downloading the app twice and it just loads and then shuts down on me. 🙁

Oh, nooo! I haven't actually tried it yet.

It's a very cool concept. There are so many possibilities for learning/teaching with something like this. I'm excited to see how this technology advances.

When I read about this ap I downloaded it immediately. Perhaps I did something wrong because it didn't seem to work very well as far as imposing the digital picture over my real world. But again, I'm intrigued by the possibilities.
