For me personally the mesh ones were unpleasant, they ripped easy, you can't scratch your legs and they are so hot! I gave them to my first mission companion. The hair on my thighs would poke out the holes and then pull as I walked, and I didn't like the lack of stretch. I loved the cotton mesh for the few years that they were available, but it's true that they didn't last long. I've worn Dri Lux since it was introduced and generally have no complaints, though I sometimes wish the bottoms were a bit looser in cut (they are supposed to be 'boxers', after all), and for some reason the sleeves on the tops are always about twice as big around as the sleeves on the shirts that I wear over them... 1

They fixed my biggest problems with G's the last time. In several styles the "waistline" was more like the "bra line" it was so overly long. I would roll them down because it would bother me and was ridiculous. I have a really small waist as is and even the petites have the same problem (the smaller version of the size I wear...I don't know if men have equivalents). Now, the few new ones I have are great. They hit right above my hip. I also have disproportionately long legs so most of the garments hit somewhere mid-thigh. The tops sleeves as slightly more capped so some of my dresses and shirts peek garment from time to time if i don't wear the right ones. I definitely mix and match tops and bottoms. I prefer mesh and drisilque in the summer and carinesa when it's not hot. I hate cotton poly bottoms. But they're the majority of my tops. These discontinuations have basically no effect on me. Traela Posted July 6, 2017 Posted July 6, 2017 I really liked the previous style of carinesa, when they had A and B waist sizes. The current ones are too tight in the legs and too loose around the waist, so I can't wear them at all. At least they fixed the rise on the DriSilque.
Alan Posted July 6, 2017 Posted July 6, 2017 I tend to mix and match. Dri-Lux tops, Corban bottoms. However, at one time I "made" my own tops. Marks & Spencers were selling really high quality Lycra stretch white T-shirt tops. I cut out the labels and sewed in the symbols. Easily the most comfortable, and expensive, garments ever.

Luckily the mesh they are discontinuing is the one piece -- didn't know they still made one pieces. Y'all do realize you can special order G's right? - call them to get the 'measurements needed' handout. We do it all the time as we're not 'standard' sized people. My typical choice for tops is the dry silk stuff. You can't even tell you have them on. Didn't they just rework the garments two years ago? I'm surprised they are doing it again already.

They ride with my dresses/shorts so I'm less likely to flash people some G's. You can still wear garments if you still see yourself mormon. I figure at some point if you were to entirely leave the church it would probably not be appropriate. With luv, BD

If so, it doesn't matter what you believe about the Church. You are keeping a promise you made to God, not to the Church. 1

Last time I did it (all cotton in the thermal style for sleeping in) it was free because it was for medical reasons (anything else itches).

My thought on reading that was how sad that almost everyone who was alive (and stuck in their garment-wearing habits) at the time of the switch to 2-piece must now be dead.

Here in the Hot and Hummid South, cannot endure much.
