Last Movie You Watched

I personally try not to watch rated R movies except for a few exceptions (if, for example, the main reason something is rated R is because of adult content, like Schindler's List, i'll watch it) because I almost always regret watching R movies otherwise.

With T.V. i don't shy away from fantasy violence stuff (like zombies) but i don't watch much that has strong sexual content or raunchy dialogue.  And my standards for Sundays are stricter.

I love Zombies ate my neighbors! I still play it on my emulator on my computer. I love the music and how you have to collect the humans.

Can't stand zombies. Hate the zombie craze. And yet my guilty pleasure is...Warm Bodies. When I first heard about it I knew there was no way I would see it. Then I saw the trailer. Since then I have seen the movie 4 or 5 times and I rarely see movies more than once. 

I saw The Martian over the weekend. We enjoyed it.

I watched Citizen Kane for the first time and fell asleep during it.

I never could sit through Citizen Kane. I did watch the end however to see who "Rosebud" was.

I never did understand why CK was so highly touted... Oh it was good all right, but to be the "classic" it is portrayed to be is, to me, questionable...

Last night I watched Turner Classic Movies showing of "Marty" (the best picture of 1955) starring Ernest Borgnine, who won the Best Actor Oscar for his portrayal of the lonely bachelor who worked as a butcher, still living in his widowed mother's home, but who wanted to be married, but who considered himself to be just an ugly fat man because of how many girls would turn down his dating invitations, etc.  Everyone, including his mother would always ask him... When are you going to get married, Marty... shame on you... 34 years old...  Finally one night he was at this dance ballroom (they used to have these ballrooms where the "big bands" played and people would go to dance) and he met a girl... very shy... not very pretty... whose date had dumped her... and she and Marty got to talking and really hit it off... it's a terrific story...

Citizen Kane is a classic because of the filmmaking techniques used.  Its the kind of movie more appreciated by serious film buffs and film critics.  Not so much for casual fans.

Watched Man From U. N. C. L. E. 

I wasn't very excited but it turned out to be really good. Solid spy movie set in the 1960s with a little humor thrown in.

It was unexpected but still had a feel of the old series.  I really liked it.

Man from UNCLE was very enjoyable. Loved the relationships.

We watched The 33 last night as a sunday family movie night.  It's about the Chilean miners who were trapped for months when the mine collapsed.  It's a good movie, has a really strong influence of faith in God and hope, and all of the actors are Hispanic and really good.

I just re-watched the movie "Swing Kids." I think it is very important for today with so much stifling of free speech and shutting down of dissenting opinions. A very young Christian Bale is in it. It is about Nazi Germany and the rise of the youth group which encouraged reporting on your parents if they say something against the government.

We saw it and liked it quite a lot.  The ending Is both surprising, and maybe a little disappointing.

We almost saw it but ran out of time. I'm thinking of seeing it next weekend but I don't want to waste my money if it's dumb. My husband has really high standards when it comes to movies and I don't want to listen to him whine about my taste in them if I can help it.

My wife and I were thoroughly entertained.  I recommend you see it.  The ending was somehow less than satisfying, but it doesn't ruin the rest.  Go see it.
