Unless they have documentation of the texts that Rowe sent Daybell, I wonder if this is an attempt to redeem themselves. If Rowe is a victim, she may appear more sympathetic. But her and Eric’s previous behaviour supporting Daybell makes even less sense if this is true. While Rowe might have been traumatized and in denial, Smith would not have been, though shocked. This is the same woman who vigorously defended Chad in December. Who insisted he was innocent and the children were just fine, enjoying themselves on a beach on Lanai. Now come to find out he made sexual advances or is she now claiming sexual assault? Did she forget about that when she was defending his moral character?Eric Smith is no better. The mistake he made was not listening to the warning impressions from the spirit years ago that Julie Rowe is a fraud. I don't trust what Julie Rowe says, and Eric Smith is being ostracized because he's as much involved and shares her beliefs, he's finally been excommunicated. Eric was also a true believer for years. At least with Julie we know she has untreated mental illness which could explain her delusions, but what is Eric's excuse? 2

I'm quite certain I remember her addressing claims by some that she was probably 'jealous' of Chad's romance of Lori instead of her, and that's why she first defended him and then did a 180. At the time, she denied this completely, still defending Chad's character but now, we're supposed to believe that while she was vouching for his moral uprightness, come to find out, he'd tried to force himself on her? What will she tell us next? 3

bluebell Posted June 20, 2020 Posted June 20, 2020 Has anyone commented on the new information they finally shared? This article explains why they looked at Chad's home for the bodies. I'm guessing it's already been brought up since you guys are on the ball but in case not.

If the action put the victim in apprehension or fear that is enough, contact not needed. for battery a type of unwanted contact would be necessary. Thus, in this case assault and battery could be filed. 2

pogi Posted June 22, 2020 Posted June 22, 2020 Who's going to be watching the Dateline Special tonight on the case (part III)? This will be Melanie Gibbs's first network television interview. Also will have interviews with Lori's friends David Warnick and April Raymond, and reporters Nate Eaton and Eric Grossarth. https://idahodailynews.com/2020/06/19/dateline-to-air-special-on-daybell-developments-including-interview-with-melanie-gibb/ 2

Calm Posted June 23, 2020 Posted June 23, 2020 I assume it will be updated for past week events. So I am more curious than before so may actually watch it if not asleep then (been having a very strange split sleep cycle lately, most sleepy ever been in evenings but only stay out for two hours at most). If I miss it, Websleuths will have all the new stuff until I can it whenever I want in a week or two. 1
Calm Posted June 23, 2020 Posted June 23, 2020 (edited) Lori’s sister, Summer, issues a statement. I am guessing it is too hard to come right out and call her sister and brother murderers or they have been cautioned not to do it by lawyers and she is still trying to help her sister, but she does say she was wrong and she thanks the Woodcocks, but does not apologize for accusing them. https://www.eastidahonews.com/2020/06/i-was-wrong-lori-vallow-daybells-sister-releases-message-following-deaths-of-jj-and-tylee/ Edited June 23, 2020 by Calm 1

Just a lot of regurgitation of stuff we already knew on this thread. Dateline out to make some money, I guess. One thing I came away with was wondering why Melanie Gibb didn't go to the police sooner, like when she first heard of the zombies and people needing to die and the little meet-ups at the track with Lori and Chad, she should have warned Tammy. Calm Posted June 23, 2020 Posted June 23, 2020 (edited) Quote why Melanie Gibb didn't go to the police sooner, like when she first heard of the zombies and people needing to die and the little meet-ups at the track with Lori and Chad, she should have warned Tammy. As far as the affair....She seems to have this live and let live philosophy, imo...high on agency that maybe translates to rather than counseling to help stop people from making mistakes, they need to make their own choices and live with the consequences to be able to learn from them. It was the way she was talking about thinking about the beliefs that Lori was sharing with her and others. How she wasn't really into them, but acted like it was still worthwhile to explore them or to allow others to explore. It reminds me of a couple of other people who see everyone having their own path to walk and we don't really have a right to interfere (up to a certain point). Also she has kids, so likely has gone through a divorce and the way she talked about divorce and the affair itself was as if it wasn't that big of a deal, so telling Tammy who she didn't know at all about the affair itself may not have seemed the best approach to her. That is likely separate from the issue of zombies as I don't remember her talking about Tammy as a Zombie. She more than likely assumed the story about Charles being in a rage was accurate as she hardly knew him and Alex having to shoot him. She hadn't known Lori long enough to know of Alex tasing Ryan by being around then and she likely wasn't told that, so she didn't know of his history of violence. Alex apparently had a laid back relaxed appearance. She might see Lori as having wishful feelings, but actually acting on them and Alex murdering Charles likely didn't match what she was seeing while she hung out with them. The way Chad and Lori were destroying zombies was going into their portals and praying them away, so she might have assumed that normally prayer would be how zombies were dealt with. That it didn't mean death, but that the spirit would return. I don't know if she knew Tammy had been labeled a zombie. I can't find the source of that claim. Add to that she had seen how successful Charles was when talking about zombies and other stuff with police (not at all), so I can see her thinking 'I have nothing concrete to complain about, just really a feeling. There is nothing for anyone to act on.' if she did have any feelings of unease. Or talking herself out of that by saying to herself 'Lori is a good mom who is only under stress right now with her kids and all the other stuff. Tylee is going to school and will be independent soon and JJ is going to live with his grandma, Kay, so there is no reason to get CPS concerned when they may end up taking the kids unnecessarily and put them in foster care if they do anything. Better to let Lori work it out with the family.' People just don't think they know murderers. Tragedy happens. Accidents happen. Your sweet, loving, exciting friend a cold blooded killer? Someone who is willing to kill her husband, her kids? Who thinks that way unless the person they know is really creepy? Edited June 23, 2020 by Calm 1
Calm Posted June 23, 2020 Posted June 23, 2020 (edited) Didn’t see Dateline, but reading comments and quotes on websleuths including these: Quote MG to LVD- “why are you going to Texas, you are trying to run from him?”Lori to MG. “I was told by the lord I need to get his finances in order. “ Quote “I thought it was all spiritual, right, but if they wanted to do their spiritual dreams they would need some money to do that. She knew that there was $1 million that he had on him. Yeah...this woman did not want to believe her friend was a murderer. She was a believer in people have not only more contact with spirits than we usually think in the Church, but also having more control over them (energy work, etc). Dipping into a white witchcraft version, the universe brings you what you need if you trust it to, prosperity gospels, what I see as a vending machine gospel...you put in your coin and you get out your blessing. The more spiritual you are, the bigger the coins I guess. So she had a ready made excuse this was all setup by the spirits for Lori, which meant her desires were righteous....apparently at the time she didn’t think it might be the wrong kinds of spirits. She apparently does now. It sounds to me she still believes spirits were talking to Lori and Chad, just of Lucifer’s pack rather than Christ’s. So whether it never occurred to her to doubt or she squashed those feelings out of loyalty and love for Lori and the excitement to be on the leading edge of spiritual warriors, there appeared to have been numerous warning signs. Moral of the story: if you believe the Spirit is telling you things that you find very and easily appealing and especially if such makes excuses for things you wouldn’t normally feel right in doing but have always wanted to do, you might want to take a closer look at where it might be coming from just in case. Calm Posted June 23, 2020 Posted June 23, 2020 (edited) For those interested in the extent of Chad’s influence, this podcast (found it through the freedom forums) discusses that. She may not be the usual type of news person I am used to, but she seems to be doing a good job on collecting details for a half hour podcast. She is staying focused enough it isn’t driving me insane like most podcasts. Edited June 23, 2020 by Calm 1
Tacenda Posted June 23, 2020 Posted June 23, 2020 Thanks @CalmI'm tending my granddaughter and haven't been able to pay closer attention. She's crawling and hyper constantly. I'm too old for this lol! While her parents are vacationing at Lake Powell. Thank goodness it's me and another grandma, haha. BTW, love the video with the lady and a tin foil hat. Watched partially, good so far. And I guess you're right about Melanie and Lori. I thought Chad or Lori told Melanie that Tammy was soon going to pass away and thought that would alarm Melanie, but of course Melanie was oblivious.
Calm Posted June 23, 2020 Posted June 23, 2020 There are things about Melanie Gibb that could be interpreted multiple ways. I am only going by her reminding me of others (just like Miss Marple, but hardly as accurate I am guessing). I could be completely wrong. I would never have predicted Alex being unmoved enough to hit Del Taco after participating in killing JJ. I would have thought he be too sick at heart or at least emotional about what he believed was the necessity of removing the boy. I think of Gibb as passive, but she is giving podcasts, writing a book, and teaching classes....and now lecturing AVOW. She was putting herself out there and was one of the leaders of PAP. So was she confident in herself or did her confidence come from associating with others and therefore she is motivated to not examine them too closely? Consciously or unconsciously....? _____ 1

I feel sorry for members of the LDS church to have people like this guy associating with them. He is bonkers! Just reading through his profile and listening to what the youtube says here. Making a film of zombie children, are you kidding me?!? I sure hope someone has alerted the police to this guy for sure.

As far as I could tell, it was not his creation. I wouldn’t judge him by the film, but rather by his books. Those he thought up and found them worthwhile to be shared.
