I am just curious, has there been any reference to blood-atonement anywhere by this group?  I am just trying to figure out how they spiritually justified murder.  If they saw the children as zombies, perhaps they felt that the only way to save their souls was to spill their blood and give them another mortal probation, or some nonsense like that.  If they were spiritually justifying murder in the beginnings of their cult, I wonder how many more lives would have been lost if they weren't stopped.  I feel fairly confident that the children are not the only victims.  This thing was probably just getting started.

No, this had nothing to do with Blood Atonement, I've never read any mention of them of believing that.  Their belief in 'Zombies' was that a person's body could be taken over by an evil spirit,  and when this happened, the spirit of that person was no longer in their body, but instead, in a sort of 'limbo' and would remain there until the death of their physical body, they could not return to their physical body.  That is probably how they justified killing people they claimed were 'zombies'.  And, since they believed in Multiple Mortal Probations, I assume they think it's not such a bad thing to kill someone, since they'll get many more lives to live on earth.  A sick belief that has been used to justify evil actions in more ways than this one.

Around January 2019, Lori Vallow told her husband that he was a 'zombie', that he was no longer Charles Vallow, but had been possessed by an evil spirit named Ned Snyder. Guess who told her that?  Chad Daybell did.  That is likely her justification for the killing of Charles.  In her twisted mind, Alex didn't kill her husband Charles, he killed Ned Snyder.  Lori told Melani Gibb that the children were 'zombies' and we now know they were murdered.  Chad also believed that his wife Tammy was a 'zombie', and she is now dead too.  They also believed Alex Cox was a 'zombie' and he died, though the autopsy did not show foul play.  I think you are right, if they had remained free, more people would have died, since they said some of the police investigators and Kay Woodcock were also zombies.

It's odd, or I've not seen it, that we haven't heard much from Nate Eaton since chad's arrest.

I think the families are in shock and grieving and the reporters are too.  I'm certain that they became emotionally involved in this case, as many of us did.

A neighbor told police Daybell, his formerly outgoing neighbor, had several bonfires in the last nine months — something they’d never noticed before Daybell’s wife, Tammy, died in October 2019.

“We had never noticed a lot of big fires, as far as the Daybells having big fires like that,” said Matt Price. “They had a big bonfire in the fall ... not long after Tammy had died. ... It was 10 feet high, pretty wide, pretty big.”

Price wasn’t the only neighbor to notice, although he was the only one to contact police.

The fires began again this spring.

“This year they had two really big fires that we noticed,” he said. “Probably less than a month ago.”

So Price said he notified police, and along with some other details, he was told detectives pieced together enough information for a search warrant. Investigators’ excavations in the backyard are near the sites of the fires, he said.

“The information I gave them was nothing significant,” said Price, who has lived in the house for 12 years and been Daybell’s neighbor for about five years. “It was just little things that I had observed or knew about Chad and Tammy. And they told me that helped them.”

He recounted an incident where Chad and Tammy Daybell came to his house to buy pumpkins.

“We raise a little pumpkin patch every year,” he explained. “And Chad, his demeanor was very disconnected. He normally is more outgoing. He didn’t carry on a conversation with us or make eye contact with us. So we thought that was very odd behavior.”

Price said police told him they have been disappointed more neighbors haven’t come forward or helped police more when questioned.

Price said the allegations against the Daybells have been “really disturbing. Especially having kids.”

“He seemed like a humble good man. At least, that’s what he presented as. So this is all very disturbing,” he said.

So the neighbor noticed two more bonfires(huge--10 feet high!)  about a month ago and knowing the children were missing, he contacted police.  That is how they found the children's remains.

I have to wonder.....were Chad's children living in the house,  aware of these huge bonfires?  The ones in October last year and then a month ago?  Did they think it odd, since this was something they had not done in the five years they'd lived there? Thank heavens for this neighbor or the children may never have been found.

Wow.  I haven't been following this terribly closely so thank you for explaining.

I just did a quick search and watched some of this interview with Melanie Gibb (I'm sure this is not new to anyone here but me).  If you watch from -23.58, she states that "It was their commission to get rid of all the zombies before tribulations come upon us."  That meant killing them through some sort of prayer.

They viewed themselves as zombie killers, that was their commission.  Convenient that anyone who got in their way or disagreed with them turned into zombies.  She later told Melanie that JJ was in the way of their mission.

That is some pretty damning testimony the prosecution should use when this turns into a murder trial.

"Ned Snyder", really, that's the name he chose?  This is all too much.

There is all sorts of speculation about Ned. Apparently he had been a friend of Charles (this life or previous was not specified) and then he in this life and possessed Charles (hmmm...good reason not to have close friends I guess), meaning as a friend he kicked Charles out of his body stalling his progression. Some friend!

I am wondering if there is a Ned Synder in Chad’s background he hated. Thinking of Charles as Ned made it easier to have him killed than the sincere, trying hard to care for his loved ones man.  The kids were once that worked out for them so well, not so hard to kill someone zombie kids...but I bet Chad put off as long as possible killing Tammy because he liked both lives too much.

Finally watched the bail hearing. Only thing of note outside setting it at $1,000,000 (yea!) and Daybell’s attorney not bothering to argue...smart man not to annoy the judge (Prior? seems more comfortable, experienced than Means)...was one of the conditions. Daybell is not to communicate in any fashion with any of the victims’ family, which technically includes his wife, either directly or through a third party. So unless being his wife has a higher standing, no more hours long phone calls if that actually happened and no more passing messages through lawyers or others if that happened (it seemed the only reason for Daybell to first take on Means as his own lawyer was it made for easy, protected communication with Lori imo).  I am assuming no contact with victims’ family is to avoid intimidation as well as attempts to persuade to be more favorable and the Court is protecting of those already suffering. That seems unnecessary for LVD, otoh without contact she may start to break or more likely screw up in what she says if she chooses to ignore her attorney, so I hope she is included in that condition. In her police interview, she was a chatterbox and often spoke before thinking imo.  Daybell otoh seems able to keep his mouth shut, but I still think being seen as cooperative and likable is important to him where it is not for LVD. Hopefully we will be able to see his interview.

Backtracking through websleuth’s posts that have exploded the past few days and came across an AZfamily video saying after the Coxes’ interview, the parents’ St. George house was searched by LE, FBI iirc. I wonder if it was because of the claim she made she talked to JJ a week after he is listed as going missing. Now people are speculating she lied or Alex Cox who was known to voice impressions may have pretends to be JJ...maybe talking in the background or something.  Think I am going to call it a night. Got through 20 pages and only have 60 more to go.

There's no question in my mind that she lied. I got lying vibes from both Janis and Summer when I watched their interview. I believe we witnessed ingrained thought and behavior patterns on display; they've been defending lori no matter what, for her lifetime.  Imo

SALEM (KSL TV) — Friends of Chad Daybell’s first wife, Tammy Daybell, have come forward to say something wasn’t right in the days before she died.

“She smiled nonstop, she was out to do her very best and then some,” Mandy Fowler, Tammy Daybell’s friend and co-worker, told KSL TV reporter Garna Mejia.

Friends and co-workers like Mandy Fowler said Tammy Daybell was loved by everyone at Central Elementary School where she worked as a librarian.

“She was the most amazing person ever,” Fowler said. “You only meet someone like her once in a lifetime.”

She said her 49-year-old friend was full of life, loved gardening, serving others and had somehow found the time to train for a marathon.

“I mean, she truly was so awesome,” said Fowler.

Fowler said Tammy most of all loved being a devoted mother.

“She talked about her kids nonstop,” Fowler said.

On a Saturday morning, Oct. 19, 2019, Fowler said she got an unexpected call from her supervisor.

“She said she had heartbreaking news for us, and I was in total disbelief,” she said. “I had just seen her.”

Tammy Daybell had allegedly died in her sleep the previous night at the Salem, Idaho, home she shared with her husband, Chad Daybell, and some of her adult children.

Fowler said Tammy Daybell was discovered in her bed, Fowler said, and no one knew the cause of death.

It left her in shock.

“I saw her the day before she died,” Fowler said.

She said she had noticed something different about Tammy Daybell during her last visit with her.

Fowler said Tammy Daybell would often suggest books for her to read. She had stopped by the library to talk about a book choice, but said Tammy Daybell felt distant.

“I was coming to ask her about another book recommendation, and she was just really busy and didn’t want to talk a lot,” Fowler explained. “ She seemed maybe kind of frustrated, and that wasn’t typical of her.”

The day after Tammy’s Daybell died, staff at the school gathered to comfort her daughter, Emma Murray, who teaches at the same school.

“Everyone was having a hard time because it was so sudden,” Fowler said. “Everyone shared a lot of good, happy memories about her. Emma wanted to hear everyone’s happy memories because she said that is what would get her through it.”

During the visit, Fowler and another friend told KSL that Murray also shared concerns about the state in which they found Tammy Daybell’s body. Murray reportedly shared that Tammy Daybell appeared to have pink foam coming out of her mouth.

Fowler and multiple sources told KSL that Chad Daybell refused to have an autopsy performed on his wife. They expressed concerns about Tammy Daybell’s funeral, which they felt was rushed.

Tammy Daybell was buried in Springville, Utah, on Oct. 22, 2019 – three days after her death.

Chad Daybell, 51, married Lori Vallow, 46, a few weeks after Tammy Daybell’s death. There are now several allegations that the couple was having an affair before Tammy Daybell’s death.

With so many investigations involving Chad Daybell and Lori Vallow, Fowler said she hopes to find out what happened to Tammy. Daybell.

“I just can’t help but think that I want to know what happened to Tammy, ” she said. “I want justice for Tammy.”

Tammy Daybell’s death has since been determined to be suspicious and is being investigated by the Fremont County Sheriff’s Office. Her remains were exhumed in December 2019. Autopsy results are still pending, according to the Fremont County Sheriff’s Office.

KSL TV reached out to the Idaho Attorney General’s Office as well as the Fremont County Sheriff’s Office. The Attorney General’s Office is assisting in the investigation as requested from the Fremont County District Attorney.

Tammy Daybell’s death investigation is still active, and authorities were not able to provide further information at this time.

Tammy Daybell’s family also provided the following statement Thursday in reference to the human remains discovered in Chad Daybell’s yard, which are believed to be his stepchildren, JJ Vallow and Tylee Ryan:

As the family of our beloved Tammy, we want to extend our deepest and heartfelt love and sympathy to the families of Tylee and JJ. We share the pain of the tremendous and shocking loss you are enduring. We still suffer and we will suffer with you for many years to come. Please know we will continue our prayers to strengthen your families, as you are finally able to properly lay to rest your precious Tylee and JJ.

As matters move through the judicial process, we pray that each of our families can be strengthened and trust that justice will be swiftly served.

We wish to thank the many members of Law Enforcement and the FBI who continue to work tirelessly as investigations continue, and the public who have shown such love and support for our families. We also ask that our privacy continue to be respected at this time as we continue to grieve for Tammy, and the Woodcock and the Ryan families grieve this unfathomable loss.

From Tammy’s Parents, Siblings and Extended Family

Some  interesting things from her friends;  One friend said she seemed out of sorts the day before she was found dead.  This article saysTammy was found in the bed, not on the floor, which is what I had read and she had pink foam coming from her mouth, which may just be part of the death process, and not indicative of why she died, though.

There is no way this couple would have lasted long together if they weren't busted.  Seems like it was a train wreck waiting to happen.  They both have demonstrated that they are perfectly willing to kill anyone, including family, who gets in the way.  Lori is demonstrably unable to maintain a stable healthy relationship.  Chad clearly is unstable and willing to murder in search of something better.  How long before either Lori was perceived as a zombie or chad was perceived as a zombie?  I wonder how long before either Lori or Chad would have ended up dead.  It seems inevitable.  Once the honeymoon faze wore off, the zombies would have started emerging.  If you had to guess, which one would have ended up dead?  They may not be happy with prison, but I think it will ultimately save one of their lives at least.

The people in charge of determining the cause of death should be slapped. Also, it mentions Emma Murray teaching at the same school that Tammy worked as a Librarian. I didn't know they lived that long in Rexburg. Do you know how long?

Yes, he seems to have a few potential errors in his summary.

Plus, I think it's inappropriate for a doctor to disclaim that he is diagnosing people he's never met, only to then proceed to diagnose them in just about every way he can.

Thanks,

Yea, it's taking a very long time to get the autopsy results, but I think it may be strategic.  It is hard to prove poisoning in an embalmed body, since the tissues, organs are flooded with toxic substances in the process and the blood is gone.  Maybe the autopsy is inconclusive and just maybe the authorities are sitting on the results for now.  I think they'd like Chad to sweat over what the results might show, and maybe he'll be more likely to try to make a deal with the police.  I'm more inclined now to believe he did something to cause his wife's death.

The neighbor said they moved there five years ago.  I do remember reading that Emma taught at the school where Tammy was a librarian, but I read on another forum that she no longer works there (her name was no longer on the roster of the school).

I read other forums, so I'm not sure it was covered here, but the Daybell children were moving things out of the house as soon as they were able to go back in.  I also read that Emma was renting the house she lived in, not far from Chad's home and she was given notice to move out, so now she is moving into the Daybell house.  The one where the children's bodies were found.

It is my understanding that Chad declined to have an autopsy performed which was within his rights at that time.  That's not the same as refusing an autopsy, though it's subtle.  He was not obligated to request an autopsy, the day she died, no one told him he had to have an autopsy, so how could he 'refuse' it?  Under these conditions and since she died in Idaho, an autopsy was an option, which he did not request, so maybe it would be better to say, Chad did not request an autopsy.

edited to add:  Chad buried his wife three days after her death.  Many commented on how quickly he managed this, especially since she was being buried in another state.  This also meant, Chad probably had her embalmed as soon as the coroner filled out the death certificate, I bet the mortuary came immediately to the house.  I bet he had her embalmed before anyone changed their minds.  As I mentioned, the embalming process makes it much harder to find evidence of foul play in the body tissues.

Later, when her death became suspicious, the authorities requested an autopsy and Chad was not even informed or needed for consent.

Alex Cox's death was determined to have been from blood clots in the lungs.  And, they were not able to find anything else that could have been the cause of death.  But, I personally wonder what caused the blood clots in his lungs.  I'm more suspicious that his death was from foul play, so if it was me, I'd still be looking into it, but I don't expect the Arizona ME to keep digging.   Knowing this case, it was just too convenient for him to die at that time.  Zulema Pastenes was Lori's good friend and a supporter of Melanie Pawlowski (she's attended court with the other Cox women for Melanie) and she married Alex two weeks before his death, and no one knew about it, expect Melanie and Ian Pawlowski, who married at the same time in Las Vegas.  Zulema's adult son didn't even know they were married.  Many unanswered questions.

Oh shoot, I mean't the person that didn't ask for an autopsy at the get go. Not the current people trying to figure out the cause of death. :) And maybe like you mentioned maybe they are making chad sweat it out and confess, hopefully they won't get him a plea deal and a shorter sentence. I can't imagine what his kids are going through. I'm sure after losing their mom, they held tight to their dad. And then now after finding out his evil deeds, they are left with no parent or maybe they'll forgive him. Hopefully their grandparents will be very close, which I'm sure they are. Thanks Alter!

I hope the Latter-day Saints who listend to this garbage will start listening to prophetic counsel, which has long warned against the sort of extremism peddled by Daybell, Parrett, Rowe, etc.  If members of the Church have been injured by listening to this stuff, a good portion of the harm has been self-inflicted.

Thanks,

-Smac
