Here's one called "Walking with the Spirit" by a friend of mine, the late, great Coco Robicheaux:

You know you're getting old when Santana is being covered (quite well, I might add) by a group of kids between 9 and 12 years old (the 9 year old is on the keyboards, and the two guitarists are 10 and 11).  I've enjoyed a few of the other "School of Rock" performances, but this one always makes me smile:

For those affected by Alzheimer.

Wow.

I hadn't know he suffered from Alzheimers. I may have a connection to all this, depending on how it turns out. My wife's parents both suffered from dementia of one sort or another at the end of their lives. So it's possible I may have to deal with it in her case. Oh, well, if it comes down to that, I will be there.

My mom got it in her early sixties, I'll be glad to make it to my seventies dementia free!

Well, I'm in my seventies, and am dementia free! Yay!

Unless I am demented already, and don't know it... :<

InCog...What a great cover! I smiled too. I think I could have heard that without seeing it, and not known it was a cover except for the vocals...which were fine. They're kids not men. The keyboard solo was outstanding, all the percussion and bass was on time. The rhythm kid was enjoying himself. I liked that. And Santana himself on lead...almost. Anyway...that was fun. Thanks.

The 9 year old keyboard player is awesome, and she broke all of the "rules" of rock and roll performers by displaying a beaming ear to ear smile when it came time for her to do her solo.  But that's also what made it so fun, and she, and everyone else, performed flawlessly.  And you are right, if it wasn't for the kid vocals (they were good, just different), you'd think it was the original band playing.

Just a Christmas song (and if you're not familiar with, it's probably not what you think):

If you liked that, here's another Christmas song:

Just in case you'd like to follow the lyrics:

Hope everybody's ringing on their own bell, this fine morning.
Hope everyone's connected to that long distance phone.
Old man, he's a mountain.
Old man, he's an island.
Old man, he's awaking says:
"I'm going to call, call all my children home".

Hope everybody's dancing to their own drum this fine morning:
The beat of distant Africa or a Polish factory town.
Old man, he's calling for his supper.
He's calling for his whiskey.
Calling for his sons and daughters
Calling, calling all his children round.

Sharp ears are tuned in to the drones and chanters warming.
Mist blowing round some headland, somewhere in your memory.
Everyone is from somewhere
Even if you've never been there.
So take a minute to remember the part of you
That might be the old man calling me.

How many wars you're fighting out there, this winter's morning?
Maybe it's always time for another Christmas song.
Old man is asleep now.
He's got appointments to keep now.
Dreaming of his sons and his daughters, yeah, proving,
Proving that the blood is strong.

And last but not least, for all our Druid brothers and sisters:

The cool song is done by Dave Carroll, of "United Breaks Guitars" fame:
