Sorry, it's not music, but wanted to share at this Christmas season. 🌲

It's music.

No one should brandish a nyckelharpa unless they're prepared to use it

I like it. A bit like Hedningarna but more tragic.

One of my favorites.

Wow, that's powerful!

That grotto is quite a backdrop, too.

I saw these guys live a few times.  That's one nice thing about the festivals Buddhist temples here have, they almost always have Taiko.  Thank you Nisei for preserving Japanese culture for future generations, I will always be grateful for your sacrifices and hard work.

One of my favorites.

Seeing Taiko is amazing, seeing someone as good as Kodo is a whole different level.

One of my favorite Beatles tunes. Nice music video, too!

In the howling wind comes a stinging rain
See it driving nails
Into the souls on the tree of pain
From the firefly, a red orange glow
See the face of fear
Running scared in the valley below
Bullet the blue sky
Bullet the blue sky
Bullet the blue
Bullet the blue
In the locust wind comes a rattle and hum
Jacob wrestled the angel
And the angel was overcome
You plant a demon seed
You raise a flower of fire
See them burning crosses
See the flames higher and higher
Bullet the blue sky
Bullet the blue sky
Bullet the blue
Bullet the blue
This guy comes up to me
His face red like a rose in a thorn bush
Like all the colors of a royal flush
And he's peeling off those dollar bills
Slapping them down
One hundred, two hundred
And I can see those fighter planes
And I can see those fighter planes
Across the mud huts where the children sleep
Through the alleys of a quiet city street
You take the staircase to the first floor
Turn the key and slowly unlock the door
As a man breathes into a saxophone
And through the walls you hear the city groan
Outside is America
Outside is America, America
Across the field you see the sky ripped open
See the rain through a gaping wound
Pounding on the women and children
Who run
Into the arms
Of America

I posted a couple of songs from the Leonid and Friends group earlier in the thread.  As I mentioned before, Leonid and Friends is primarily a Russian group that does several Chicago covers (and others), but one of the lead singers, Serge Tiagnyriadno, the guy who covers the Peter Cetera vocals in their Chicago covers, is from Kyiv, Ukraine.

So here they are covering the Chicago song, Dialogue (Part I & II). This has been on Youtube since October 2019, but it takes on new meaning for me right now, considering the fact that it's a 1972 Vietnam war era song with a dialogue between people with two different views, and the two people happen to be a Russian (Vasily Akimov) and a Ukrainian (Serge Tiagnyriadno) in this case.   I hope Serge is safe, where ever he is right now.
