ttribe Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 (edited) I read this as a massive backing-off from the past few months by Sis. Rowe: http://julieroweprepare.com/events/ Contracts null and void on energy sessions. Need to focus on my own family, my own health, and my own duties, obligations, and responsibilities. The message. Turn away, shut the door on needless chatter, negativity and darkness on any level, from any realm or dimension. Not worth the cost. Focus on love, light, the atonement on individual and collective whole. The Lord is the light. Turn to the atonement to heal in wattever way. True message from the source of truth: Repentance is the only way, and by him and of him and through him, we can become one, we can become whole, we can build a better tomorrow by preparing to day. There is no other way. No quick fix. Welcome to the “fellowship of the suffering.” My message is clear when we turn to the prophets of old and to the true living prophets of our day. Not me. Not anyone else other than the Lord’s anointed. It is the same, yesterday, today and forever. That is my additional official statement. Not finished with the work but am finished with this portion of the word. The way we live today will determine our tomorrows. Nothing is worth throwing away our fortunes promised by the Father. Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. LOVE is the Key. Love the Lord your God with all your heart, might, mind and strength, having no other God’s before you. Pure heart =pure intent. Pure intent = intentional direction to choose to act proactively. Letting go of the harm and hurt and creating a place of safety within our hearts. Open hearts are healed hearts. Healed hearts find safety in the arms of the Lord, not in the arms of someone who has claim upon our minds. True safety lies in living the laws and ordinances of the Gospel. There is safety from the storms TODAY. RIGHT NOW. IMMEDIATELY. NO NEED TO WAIT TO START LIVING YOUR GREATER TOMORROW. Live today in love and joy, knowing that there is a real and infinite, eternal living at-one-ment with God, available right now, each and every minute of every day. No limit on God’s infinite atonement. No limit on God’s power. No limit on energy. True energy comes from living the commandments. Living the law of the Sabbath. In this we can and do and will find life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. I’m taking my life back. But, I admit, most of what she said made no sense to me; anyone interpret? HappyJackWagon Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 Seems like a stream of consciousness. Honestly, this lady reminds me of "Being There," where a simpleton is taken for a genius because people want his words to be profound, not that they are. It's actually quite similar to letters I occassionally receive from the FLDS with Warren Jeff's prophesies. They are just random thoughts, listed in incomplete, incoherent sentenses. Very strange. 1

You don't have to answer my nosiness if you don't want to.
ttribe Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 I see this as saying that she's closing shop at least for now: Yeah, I kind of agree. She was wrong. Dead wrong. Time to disappear. I have to admit my prediction was wrong, though. I thought for sure she would play the - We weren't ready/righteous enough - card.
jkwilliams Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 It's actually quite similar to letters I occassionally receive from the FLDS with Warren Jeff's prophesies. They are just random thoughts, listed in incomplete, incoherent sentenses. Very strange. Sort of reminds me of this recent example of soaring rhetoric: "So up there in Alaska, across the way Russia, you know there is a name for this taking advantage of America. There is a Russian name for that. And it is called 'fortushka.' And that means Obama's window of opportunity. So as Obama leads from behind the skirt of his right-hand man, Valerie Jarrett, then it's up to Congress to close that window. He may propose. You dispose, Congress. You gotta be in it to win it because we want peace. With unapologetic mighty red, white, and blue, will have peace."

You don't have to answer my nosiness if you don't want to. I still get them. I must be on their mailing list somehow. They are pretty entertaining.

Hopes she returns people's money. If she changes her website to stop promoting stuff, I would say she may have changed her mind. If she is just shutting down stuff she is personally involved in, I think it is likely she can't handle the criticism and is putting up walls, but I see no reason to interpret anything but she sees herself as a martyr to the truth. jkwilliams Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 This is new. A few days ago she had sessions and interviews scheduled. Hopes she returns people's money. One can only hope, but I'm not holding my breath. I have no idea whether she's sincere or this has just been a business venture all along. If she was sincere, I'd imagine she's in a bit of shock at the moment, though I suspect she'll find a way to adjust her predictions and sell more sessions and books. If it's been an intentional hoax, I'm sure she'd just like to disappear into the woodwork. Either way, I doubt anyone will get their money back. I could be wrong, though.

She's still promoting the Emotion Code on her website. I just saw that she promotes Robert Young's work as well. I read a book of his while on my mission about the second coming and it was so dark and full of fear that I refused to go anywhere near his stuff ever again.

I read a book of his while on my mission about the second coming and it was so dark and full of fear that I refused to go anywhere near his stuff ever again. A non-LDS friend asked me about Julie Rowe. I told him I didn't know what to make of her, but her latest post makes me think there may be some mental illness involved. He said I was being "too restrained," as he thought the post was "nakedly psychotic." I don't know about that, but it makes me think there's something definitely wrong, if we can judge by her disjointed and rather bizarre post.
bluebell Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 (edited) Emotion code? From her website- "In short, The Emotion Code is the simplest, easiest, and fastest method ever devised to find emotional baggage (using muscle testing) and release it, either from you or from someone else. Our emotional baggage consists of actual energies; the energies of intense emotional events that we’ve experienced that are still stuck in our physical bodies. These energies distort the normal energy field of the body, creating pain, malfunction, all manner of disease, and even cancer. In addition, these energies (trapped emotions) are the driving force behind PTSD, depression, anxiety, phobias and all manner of mental illness.”Edit to add Julie's reason for promoting the Emotion Code- "It was made known to me that I was to research Dr. Nelson and The Emotion Code and The Body Code. I was shown repeatedly that I was to be involved in this work in helping myself, my family, and others heal from illness and disease. It was made clear to me that this work would not only benefit me, but also my ancestors on the other side of the veil. It was made clear to me that this form of energy healing would be used in the tent cities, as well as in the New Jerusalem and into the Millennium."Cal, do you remember how much a session of energy healing cost? All that's missing is the e-meter.
Calm Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 It is an energy healing process that Rowe claims the name of the 'founder' was revealed to her by the Lord and that the treatment is one of God's gifts to mankind to deal with the plagues and pestilences and other health issues that are flooding or will flood earth. If it is the same as a session I listened to that she promoted, it is about having your ancestors and angels help you clear energy blockages, replace bad energy with good, etc. It was not impressive at all. One would be better off listening to a relaxation tape. However, for just a thousand dollars or so, you too can become a practitioner and they will help ensure you can maximize your customer base to make lots and lots of money.

As a TBM I viewed this as a counterfeit of the priesthood. Now I view it as hoakum. From personal experiences desrcibed to me from people in my ward who went to a member who was an energy/Emotion code healer- The healer had a long list of questions. She would link her thumb and forfingers together like a chain and then she'd ask a question as she pulled her fingers against the chain. If the fingers broke through on a particular question it would mean that there was a physical weakness associated with the body part associated with that question. So, for example, if her chain broke on question 3 it would relate to an ailment in the person's shoulder. The ailments were always caused by demonic posession. So after the healer went through her extensive list of questions, noting each question where her link was weak, she would write down all the areas of the body being physically pained due to separate demonic possessions. She would then give the list to a priesthood holder who would pray specifically for each area of the body and command that demon be removed. In some cases a priesthood blessing wasn't necessary. She would hold her hands over the ailing part of the body to draw the demon out with her positive energy. The healer is a temple worker and most of her "patients" are faithful members. This woman is a variation on the energy healers like Reiki, and also the emotion coders. Some energy/emotion code healers use the energy from their hands but some use magnets, copper, oils. It's a strange subculture but many who buy into it are also the Julie Rowe preppers. 2
JulieM Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 It sounds like she's totally lost it. Does anyone know if she's married? If she is, I'd hope that he'd get her some help unless he's on board with all that she's saying.I imagine it's hard for her to deal with going from being invited to speak in LDS chapels across the country and selling her book at Deseret Books to the leaders openly speaking out and warning people to stay away and not use her material to teach. I know that she didn't have official sanction from church leaders but I'd imagine she felt she did and same with her followers.
cinepro Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 Like I said, all that's missing is the e-meter.No, I think it's closer to garden-variety Reiki, therapeutic touch, or voodoo. 1
