I think you will find that unions are evil and debased and corrupting. They hurt the workers and the economy. Especially teacher’s unions which are sponsored by the legions of hell themselves. Which is why the people who tell me this think we need strong legislation to curb their power and eliminate them. Except for police union which are always given exceptions and are good and pure and beautiful for some reason.

Wow more of that? And i don't see how we could pay more tithing btw. Paying tithing basically means that you give 10% of your income to the church. So... does this "unity" means that members of the LDS community need to pay more money to the church now?

I think the best way to understand unity in this context is to take into account the fact that Jesus Christ claims to be a Divider...

34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.

So the unity called for is to be had under the tent of those who believe the doctrines and ideology of Christ and also, for example, reject the ideology that God the Father Himself rejected in the premortal life as described in Moses 4:1-3.

In concrete terms, I think this means some of us put too much emphasis on "teddy bear Jesus" and some of us put too much emphasis on sin and judgment and should moderate making sure we consider all aspects of Christ's example and teaching.

I think this verse and the ones that follow offer us a wonderful opportunity to apply the principles taught in Alma Chapter 32, Moroni Chapter 7, and D&C Section 8.

The idea that the Good Shepherd, the Prince of Peace, “came not to send peace, but a sword”: Does this idea taste delicious to your soul? Does it invite you to love God and to believe in Christ? Does it speak peace to your mind and to your heart? If not, then maybe those words were falsely attributed to Christ.

And, imo it would be a mistake to use an idea that one's soul recoils from as a pillar of one's belief system.  God the Holy Spirit is a higher authority than any book.  And so is the Light of Christ.

So here is a different idea, one that imo speaks to unity: You (yes, you!) are as much the son or daughter of God as Christ himself, regardless of your current baggage. And so are “they”, whoever “they” may be.

Unsarcastically - this is 100% true.

Looking forward to the more than 10% of K-12 aged students leaving public schools. It was 10% during the scamdemic / plandemic farce.

Hey, I'm very active in my teachers union. I'm the employee rights committee chair. Please, ask me some questions so I can give you straight answers.

Absolutely right! My union is 100% against administrator bloat! And teacher unions don't represent administration at all. They are who we have to deal with.

1) Ask me about how I indoctrinate my students.

2) Sunday school and BYU definitely indoctrinate, so it's not indoctrination you are against, but indoctrination you disagree with.

The number of new teachers in my district coming in on alternative licensure (meaning they didn't go through a teacher prep program but have a degree in something and are currently taking classes while they teach to get licensure) is way too high. They don't have the skills, then they burnout and quit.

Teacher turnover is not good -- it leads to shortages that mean permanent subs instead of teachers are in classes, which means kids are not being taught anything.

The adage is self-named after a poster on ChsrianForums.com --Nathan Poe.  His "law" was specifically about Creationism, but it was it was enough of a "truism" that it grew legs, and became applicable to parodies of just about any type of fundamentalism or extremist position.

It's easy to start to trust AI because it provides "references" and sounds so authoritative.  But then you read a response from it that you know isn't true and it really hits home how untrustworthy it is.
