My Brother Died early this morning…

What I feared, came even earlier that I had thought. I had posted, and felt like it would come soon, but no matter how you might prepare. It took so long, and then it came so fast. He had begged me to take his dog, out of fear of what she might do. However, his fears came to pass, we were just one day late picking him up the dog, so she had the dog put down. She was not, nor ever was a kind woman.. Nothing to do now, but attend the funeral, no matter the terms she comes up with, and to do so with Grace, and kindness. So, my family will be whatever his family needs over the next few days, to be kind, and to be loving, and all else his family, no matter how loving we must be, to many that we do not know. Or never have known; but I know and love my bother, and have for my entire life.

God rest his soul.

I’m so sorry, Papa. May your brother’s memory be for a blessing.

I bet you'll have fun going over all the memories that won't make the eulogy, though.   (At least I would in your place.)    Are you guessing he'll chose to be at the funeral if allowed, or would he pass on that opportunity if given?

I'm so sorry for your loss.  I hope, believe, and know that, one day, you will be given "beauty for ashes," and that one day, through the Atonement of Jesus Christ, all will be made right.  My condolences to you and to your family.

Warm Regards and Best Wishes from a Brother in Christ,

-Ken

So sorry to hear that, losing a close relative is one of the hardest trials we have in this world of trials.

I will be praying for you Papa.   May the Lord lessen your burdens through his holy grace, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Sorry you couldn't fulfill one of his last wishes about his dog, at least they won't miss each other, they are together now. Reminders of death always sobers and haunts me with things I'll have left behind untaken care of and unfinished. My parents have a puppy, keeps them active and walking, but do they not consider what they've done is make sure one day that it would become my dog? I'm a cat person... because I'm lazy.
