Update on Story Re: Missing Kids (Daybell)

November 5 was the Hawaiian wedding day for Vallow and Daybell iirc.  If that was Alex, maybe he was just venting he wasn't having the fun after doing the dirty work.

Where are you hanging out that this came up?

It was a local source. A rumor I tried running down. This incident can seem more ominous in hindsight.

According to a screenshot of an AVOW post from its owner, Parrett, Daybell says that after the autopsy results are out he and Vallow will tell the real story that vindicates them.  According to Parrett it took an hour for Daybell to inform him of all the details and they are blaming JJ's grandmother for pushing the whole thing, I am assuming it's back to a custody fight.

However, can't really think of how to justify fighting for custody by walking out of your kid's life for 5 months.

I am hoping for the kids' sake this is true, but seems unlikely.  I can see Daybell reaching out in hopes of monetary support because unless they get $5 million full to cover all the bail, he will lose all the $500,000 fee that the bail bondsman (if any are willing to take her on) requires to cover the $5 million.  He may be hoping bail will be reduced once back in Idaho and is preparing for that.

Also-the grandparents' involvement may explain them hiding JJ but the girl isn't even related to them. I wonder what their explanation for her disappearance is.

Taking care of JJ perhaps, but that doesn't explain why there is no evidence of her since Sept 8th while JJ was seen and Vallow hiring a babysitter for JJ for about a week, I believe, sometime before he was last seen.

Vallow was telling people Tylee was either dead or was off to college.  She would have just turned 17 (iirc her birthday was Sept 22), but had been homeschooled and supposedly had her GED.

https://www.foxnews.com/us/grandparents-of-missing-idaho-boy-urge-lori-vallow-to-start-talking-following-arrest-in-hawaii-report

Quote

Vallow and her husband, Chad Daybell, have been in Hawaii since leaving Idaho in November amid questions from police about the children’s whereabouts. Investigators have said the couple lied about where they were and even their very existence. Daybell allegedly told one person that his wife didn't have kids while Vallow told someone else her daughter died over a year ago.

That is ominous, aside from Lori Vallow laughing while discussing her husband's death by gunshot just after the shooting.  I have heard the audio.

Quote

[Lori] Vallow is facing two felony counts of desertion and nonsupport of dependent children. She was also charged with resisting or obstructing police officers, criminal solicitation to commit a crime and contempt of court, among others.

Kaua’i Police announced that Lori Vallow was arrested in Hawaii Thursday on a warrant issued in Madison County, Idaho after she failed to comply with a court order that she produce the missing children no later than Jan. 30, [2020]

Tylee's cell phone was found in a storage locker with a lot of other family memorabilia.  She was 17.  How could she not have her cell phone?

Daybell is seen, I believe, moving some of the kids' stuff to storage and lied to police that JJ was at a friend's house and tried to convince the friend to lie, so while there might be a possibility he did not know of her kids at first, by the time he moved in with her, he had to.  Perhaps Vallow convinced Daybell the grandmother was trying to take JJ away and that was why he was willing to lie.  And if he is convinced his wife, Tammy, died naturally because it was Cox or Vallow who likely poisoned her (in supplements perhaps), he might buy the rest.

Still it seems far fetched and his personality seems he is more dominating than dominated, so I am doubting that.

---

Unless there are dozens of people lying (Vallow's friends who say she talked about end times, said Tylee was dead, said she thought it would be good to take her kids and drive off a cliff as the end was coming, pool party after Charles dies, her screaming at Cox earlier about him disgracing the family, threatened Tylee's dad to drop custody case or she would accuse him of sexually abusing Tylee, etc), Vallow is royally messed up.

It may be difficult to find the bodies of the children at this late date.

Very difficult if Alex Cox took the answer with him.  He was a long distance truck driver and there is lots of empty spaces out there.

Melanie says she knows where the kids are, but her comments make it sound like they are no longer alive:  Here is a report from tonite (Sunday) --

Well, I think we need to be circumspect here, as we appear to be looking at multiple levels of hearsay.  We have

1) a new report quoting an attorney (representing Brandon Boudreaux) (though the documents from the attorney are shown on-screen, so this is perhaps just one level of hearsay) stating that
2) Brandon Boudreaux said that
3) Melanie's new husband made a statement to
4) police about what
5) Melanie said (that she conspired with her uncle to kill Brandon, and that Melanie has said that something like "sometimes children are full of light and then just like that they go dark").

Not only that, these statements being attributed to Melanie are being presented in a child custody dispute.  Lots of acrimony.  Lots of motivation to embellish/sensationalize/exaggerate things that make Melanie look bad (or worse).  And these statements are apparently not supported by evidence (such as the police reports, which while still hearsay would likely have *some* probative value).

I have no dog in the fight between Brandon Boudreaux and his ex-wife, but I think we need to be cautious in lending too much evidentiary weight to this stuff.

And I hope the kids are okay.

Thanks,

-Smac

In the video someone mentions that there a lot of children that have gone missing. Did anyone hear that? I wonder who these children are. ETA: Actually at the mark 1:46, it says children are dying like flies, not just missing.

Children of parents who love and care for them, as you do for yours and as probably almost everyone who you know personally does for theirs?  Most likely not.  But, unfortunately, children born into loving, caring, stable families are, perhaps, (and as much as I hate to say this) becoming less the rule than they are the exception. :unknw: :(http://www.missingkids.org/.  And, tragically, sometimes even parents' best efforts (or at least, their best intentions) aren't enough to keep their children safe:  https://www.history.com/this-day-in-history/adam-walsh-is-abducted.  (And, while it's easy to fault Reve Walsh, the only reason any of the rest of us know what not to do is because of the tragically-difficult lessons people like Ms. Walsh learned firsthand.)

Glad you quoted me, I had to go listen again and it actually said children are dying like flies. So all I'm asking for is what evidence there is of this basically. Listen if you have time at the 1:46 mark. Just curious where they're getting this from.

I agree, outside of a widespread pandemic or a war or an incident of terrorist violence, "children are dying like flies" would be a difficult allegation to support, factually.

It doesn't actually say this.

It says members of this group INCLUDING children are dying like flies.

That leaves open the possibility of General disagreements between factions in the group or other groups causing violence which includes unfortunately children. That's more like pandemics and other violence.

A little bit further on it says that sometimes they have light and then they go "dark".

Perhaps those who go dark end up dead.

In other words if one stops believing and therefore goes "dark," unfortunate things might happen to them.

These groups cannot allow their locations to be revealed. If someone is a threat that that could happen, I would think their "disappearance" is assured.

I can think easily of other cursed people who became "dark."

Perhaps that has become part of the lexicology of these wacko fundamentalist groups.

This is Brandon Boudreaux’s allegations. He would have no real way of knowing that people are dropping like flies except what he may have heard through the grapevine and the deaths surrounding his former aunt in law.  I assume he is building a very strong case to keep full custody of his children-away from the ex and her wacky cult people. So I wouldn’t take this document as truth but truth plus spin.

At this point in time I am reading it as simple hyperbole attached to the deaths and possible homicides and attempts centered around Vallow (two husbands, a brother, a possible sister long ago, wife of her current husband, possibly her two kids; attempts include shootings at Tammy and Brandon and attempted kidnapping by Melani of her children).  I haven’t heard reported any violence outside these individuals though a few in the Rexburg area are thinking some of those likely to be extremists have disappeared, but not dead in their view but hiding out waiting for the end in July.

A lot of observers sometimes use similar language, calling Vallow a black widow and suggesting anyone around her is in danger, when the reality appears to be very limited up now.

Those who were close to Vallow and Cox have expressed major shock, if violence was a part of their lives it was either rare or very well hidden.

I would bet that at this point, they consider all outside the compound to be dead anyway so it doesn't matter much if they died today or at the end of July.

Getting arrested does it matter, going into prison doesn't matter, as long as after everything is destroyed they can get back to the compound.

So if non-believers die before the end it doesn't matter much.

Only those with "light" will survive anyway.

I suppose that attitude makes a big difference in what counts as violence or even murder.

None of that is any more serious than killing a zombie in a video game. They're already dead anyway.

I wonder how hard it is to hide a compound these days.  If we are talking about something long term, tech could probably track it down somehow, but do they do that on a regular basis or focus on known threats.  How big would it need to be noticed.  A bunch of white tents are likely pretty noticeable.  But I guess white tents can be put under camouflage netting and still qualify.

I need to find out where I read or heard it, but it sounded like they had bunkers in Missouri.

Hmm.  I wonder,  if the "real story" vindicates them, wouldn't the autopsy report tell that "real story," or at least a part of that story?

Vallow appealed the bail again, denied again, so she waived extradition and should be off to Idaho within two weeks.  Daybell was not in court today, though he visited her yesterday.  Hmm....

Vallow claims charges are false and she didn't turn her kids over because the government was going to take them into foster care (yeah, once January hit and no one had seen them for three months, but not in November when they just came by for a welfare check).

Melani, the niece, has accused her exhusband of being an abusive, pornography watching homosexual with ties to organized crimes...I am sure I have missed a few accusations.  Why, she asks, is no one asking "where are her children?"...maybe because LE knows where they are because the father has been cooperating?
