Kay discovered that Lori purchased a $35 malachite gemstone ring on Oct. 2. The browser history also showed she searched for "beach wedding dress" and white slacks and a shirt for her then-soon-to-be husband, Chad Daybell. "At that point, I was like, 'Wait a minute, whoa! They're getting married!' They were looking at men's extra-large clothing. Charles? It wasn't for him. It was men's, men's tennis shoes, things for her, a new yellow bathing suit for her, swim trunks for a man, extra-large, all of this was right there for me to look at," Kay said. Kay inherited her brother Charles Vallow's printer. When Kay hooked it up to her computer, she could see the browser history from the previous computer Lori had used? Maybe I read it wrong or maybe there is some type of printer I'm not familiar with? (I'm confused...)

When Kay hooked it up to her computer, she could see the browser history from the previous computer Lori had used? Maybe I read it wrong or maybe there is some type of printer I'm not familiar with? (I'm confused...) It was a series of things as I understand it. She knew some of his passwords as he typically used the same ones. The printer somehow gave her an email address. Maybe last page printed was an email with that info on it? I know some printers have buffers that store recent printed documents. She was able to access the email account with a remembered password. That led to receipts from Amazon account which included Vallow’s recent purchases. Don’t know if Kay then checked the Amazon account itself. I think that was what showed the browsing history, but some people are saying they can see it with other things. No doubt investigators did check Amazon and everything else. added: rereading the whole thing again makes me wonder if the printer hooked up To her computer put Charles’ IP address or whatever causes it to be recognized as a possible option (if it was wireless, it has its own id, right?) which allowed her to access his internet account with a password. I have to go experiment to think this out. Edited March 27, 2020 by Calm 1
Calm Posted March 27, 2020 Posted March 27, 2020 (edited) My husband and I can't figure out how she could get the internet browsing history and someone can't order airline tickets on Amazon as far as I know, as remarkable as it is. Amazon account just needs email and password. And he doesn't know if the printer would have the IP address so it might give her computer access to Charles' desktop or something. I can ask my son the computer programmer if bugging you enough, but if no big deal we can just say "insert technobabble here" and be grateful that it happened however it did. added: found this, but don't know what it would result in.. Quote Aside from documents, a modern wireless printer connected to your network, or smartphone or tablet, might have stored connection information. You definitely want to make sure that’s gone, which means either deleting it in the menu settings or initiating a factory reset. https://www.komando.com/tech-tips/dont-sell-your-printer-before-doing-this-1-critical-step/331796/ Edited March 27, 2020 by Calm
Tacenda Posted March 30, 2020 Posted March 30, 2020 Very interesting, Julie Rowe answering to each of Chad Daybell's beliefs and saying which ones she believes and doesn't believe. It was posted on March 22.

Kenngo1969 Posted March 30, 2020 Posted March 30, 2020 At the risk of derailing this thread (if I should take it down, mea culpa: Just let me know, and I will) I found an interesting discussion about bats and COVID-19 on ... Kim Komando's website, of all places. https://www.komando.com/video/komando-picks/why-do-bats-carry-so-many-dangerous-diseases/732452/ 1

Calm Posted April 8, 2020 Posted April 8, 2020 (edited) Prosecutor's response to the amended motion for bail reduction, the defendant's motion is posted to Lum's Facebook as well so not giving link: https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=1565293643633647&id=134640763365616&anchor_composer=false Looks like the "new facts" are possible violations of her rights due to a recording being made of one of her attorney meetings as well as sensitive documents being handed to her through a correction officer who is at times out of their sight because of needing to switch to public viewing room because of Covid 19 restrictions. Recording was "promptly" deleted by the jail. Both her attorney and Vallow agreed with the situation and continued with their meeting when it happened, so any violation is on them imo. Plus bail is about flight risk, so seems irrelevant....though I can see a claim that such conditions interfere with her being able to contribute to her own defense...I need to go read the motion to see if that is part of it. added: yes, that is his point, it is impossible to prepare under these conditions Edited April 12, 2020 by Calm 1

Tacenda Posted April 10, 2020 Posted April 10, 2020 Police video recording out of Gilbert AZ in January '19. Too bad things weren't stopped way back then. Tylee sometimes acts more mature than her mother. Even correcting her mother's words at one moment.
smac97 Posted April 10, 2020 Author Posted April 10, 2020 (edited) Here's an interesting video update: Short version: Lori Vallow's attorney has asked for documents pertaining to the death of her prior husband (Charles Vallow), the death of her brother (Alex Cox), and the death of Chad Daybell's previous wife. These requests were sent to the prosecutor in Idaho, who probably has little or no information responsive to these requests since two of these deaths happened in another jurisdiction (Arizona). The vlogger (a criminal defense attorney) thinks the judge will not require the prosecutor to respond to these requests. The vlogger also thinks that these requests are a bit weird, since these deaths would not seem to have much of a nexus with the disappearance of Lori Vallow's daughter and stepson. Thanks, -Smac Edited April 11, 2020 by smac97

However, these investigations were referenced by the prosecutor in why her bond should be so high, iirc, because of her being highly motivated to skip town to avoid possible prosecution. If Means intends to argue that these investigations are going nowhere and therefore shouldn’t be a factor in the amount of bail, he needs to know what they have. It has been awhile since I listened to the hearing, so no guarantees of complete accuracy. Quote Alan Cox It is Alex Cox. It is important to get the name right imo because there is a brother, Adam Cox, who appears to be the only sibling cooperating with the authorities and pushing Vallow to tell where the kids are. There has been some confusion attacking Adam thinking he is Alex in a few places I have seen. Not something he needs. Edited April 11, 2020 by Calm 2
Calm Posted April 10, 2020 Posted April 10, 2020 (edited) The vlogger seems uninformed on a few issues. His claim the kids will be well taken care of by the state now so Vallow should be secure in turning them over if fear of them being in danger or something else is her reason is ignoring or unaware that the grandparents have filed for guardianship which means if granted, the state releases JJ at least into their care...which appears to be one of the things Vallow is claiming is what drove her to hide them (though only indirectly, references to a custody case). Also Vallow’s parents are of the sovereign citizen variety and her late brother may be too as he had a ton of unpaid taxes. Getting the government involved is the opposite of what Vallow wants for her kids if that is not a cover for their murders. Second, claiming Daybell isn’t using his money for the bond...the bond is $1 million and he has nowhere near that as the insurance was around $430,000 iirc at the beginning. And they had to have used a big chunk of that up already with the wedding, travel, stay in Hawaii, attorneys in Hawaii and now Idaho. Even if willing to put it down for a bail bondsmen, what we have heard is refusal to accept it for several reasons. At this point, Daybell has to come up with the full $1 million himself (or with friends) to post it. He may therefore be very willing to do so, but unable. Edited April 10, 2020 by Calm 1

Calm Posted April 11, 2020 Posted April 11, 2020 (edited) So I watched a previous vlog by the lawyer and he has a stupid criminal of the day at the end of his podcast. Just had to check out the one in this one....It is a woman who is a psychiatric mental nurse and is highly concerned about the spread of covid 19 in her community...so concerned in fact that she went down to her local police station and requested them to test her meth for virus contamination. Needless to say she was high on the product at that time. She is likely in a high risk group due to her drug habit, so we can all appreciate her wisdom in keeping herself and her fellow drug addicts safe. It starts at 11:50 if you want to hear the details. Is the prose-cuter in this case cuter than your average prosecutor? I admit, I haven't known very many cute prose-cuters, though some of Jack McCoy's ADAs on Law & Order might qualify, and then, of course, there's Erin Reagan on Blue Bloods, which is about the only network show I watch these days. What? Oh. Sorry. Couldn't resist! Carry on! P.S.: Come to think of it, I had a professor in college who was a prose-cuter. Now, she's a judge. Lends new meaning to the term hot bench.
