What do you want?

I'm serious there is a lot of discontent here.Just exactly what do you want the Church to do, to be? I'm not going to make a long list of names, you know who you are.

Christ knew Judas would betray Him, He let agency run it's  course.

You guys suck at this. If I am being honest about what I want from the church, well here it is.

I have never been a "car" guy.  I just don't care about vehicles.  For me, they are simply a means of getting from Point A to Point B.

Except for older model Mustangs.  They are just . . . cool.

I'd settle for a refund of my tithing. That would pay for a few Mustang convertibles.

In no particular order:

I want the Church to be the custodian of the Restored Gospel, particularly including its authority, ordinances, and revelations.

I want the Church to be a community of faith.  A place of safety, support, love, service, encouragement, repentance, obedience, correct principles, patience, unity and hard work.

I want the Church to be free from hypocrisy, equivocation, unrighteous dominion and pride.

I want the Church to fulfill the Great Commission to the fullest extent possible, while still respecting the agency and choices of those who go a different way.

I want the Church to be a good neighbor.

I want the Church to be a good steward.

I want the Church to serve the poor and those in need.

I want the Church to obey the laws of the land, and to be protected by the laws of the land.

Thanks,

-Smac

I just want the Church to do what God wants.  That's all that matters.

I am somewhat the same way though I have always had a soft spot for well restored Mustangs. Recently one of my kids bought a 2015 Volkswagon GTI, a car I would never have thought to even consider. I went with him to test drive several and to offer support. One of the versions we test drove was a stick, which he did not know how to drive, so he had me drive it.

Wow, there are ways to get from point A to point B and then there are ways. That car was a whole lot of fun and is top of my  list for my next inexpensive daily use car purchase.

If the story/parable of the missing 116 pages of BoM manuscript teaches us anything, it teaches us to be careful what is asked for , because along with it comes unintended consequences.

Oh, and for the petrol-heads here :
