Stargazer Posted September 6, 2015 Posted September 6, 2015 (edited) This is a wonderful talk just published on the FAIR Mormon channel. It's Sharon Eubank, whom I had previously never heard of. She is the Director of LDS Charities. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XEiKJFiQQBc Edited September 6, 2015 by Stargazer
mfbukowski Posted September 7, 2015 Posted September 7, 2015 I was there last year when she gave it. Amazing talk! 1
The Mean Farmer Posted September 7, 2015 Posted September 7, 2015 (edited) I finished watching her talk yesterday on the FAIR channel on ROKU. She may not like it, but I am going to make my wife put her phone down for 50 minutes and listen to it. It was inspiring Edited September 8, 2015 by The Mean Farmer
Stargazer Posted September 8, 2015 Author Posted September 8, 2015 I sent the link out to some of my LDS relatives, and one of my daughters in law was really inspired by it, and shared it further, including sending a link to everyone in her RS. 1

Calm Posted September 8, 2015 Posted September 8, 2015 Got a couple of versions if I understand the tech conversations (I read so the podcasts etc. I ignore pretty much)...check under our menu on our main page for options.
Avatar4321 Posted September 8, 2015 Posted September 8, 2015 There a transcript? I can't watch videos often
Calm Posted September 8, 2015 Posted September 8, 2015 Yep...http://www.fairmormon.org/perspectives/fair-conferences/2014-fairmormon-conference/womans-church
mfbukowski Posted September 9, 2015 Posted September 9, 2015 This could signal a direction the church may take in the future. When you are aware of Sr. Eubank's bio and credentials it is hard to imagine that this talk diverges from acceptable doctrine 1

why me Posted September 9, 2015 Posted September 9, 2015 The video should be seen by all women in the church. The onslaught against the church and its impact on women's lives is quite strong. This video will give a shield of armour for every women to use in fight. .
canard78 Posted September 9, 2015 Posted September 9, 2015 But not, apparently, one for people who appreciate an apostrophe in the right place... 1

She is the Director of LDS Charities. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XEiKJFiQQBc There is so much irony! Doesn't anyone find it sad that she has to refer to the Romans for her role model of a feminine goddess? I often wonder if the Brethren ask on behalf of the sisters for any knowledge about our Heavenly Mother. I wonder when we'll see an Ensign article outlining what we do know. Perhaps it's been there and I missed it. Edited September 10, 2015 by mtomm 1
Ahab Posted September 10, 2015 Posted September 10, 2015 There is so much irony! Doesn't anyone find it sad that she has to refer to the Romans for her role model of a feminine goddess? Perhaps it's been there and I missed it.You mean the mother of Eve?We have been told about Eve about as much as Adam, except what her name and role was when Adam was known as Michael who played a big role premortality, and there is a lot of value in knowing she is the Mother of all of us as Adam said she was.
Stargazer Posted September 11, 2015 Author Posted September 11, 2015 But not, apparently, one for people who appreciate an apostrophe in the right place... I know, right? My excuse is that I was afraid of what the board software would do to the apostrophe, so I left it out. It turns out that "Woman's" goes in correctly. I was afraid the apostrophe would cause some horrible formatting to occur, like "Woman'S". Because the board software has a habit of screwing up topic titles. For instance: "LDS" turning to "Lds".
