Gray
Will this culminate with a performance on SNL where he rips up a picture of the President of the church? 1 Link to comment
Storm Rider
Poor boy. May he do whatever makes him happy. Fortunately, the sun still shines and no one ever has to listen to his problems. It is a personal problem with which he has to deal. Link to comment
Robert F. Smith
Is that related to Primal Scream therapy? 1 Link to comment

Duncan
Lets's face it to stay relevant attention seekers like this guy will say or do whatever it takes. If he didn't have an axe to grind would he or the band be anything anymore? They haven't had an album since 2014 and that one only placed 6th in the US, woo! Other than the LDS angle they don't seem to be connecting with the music market anymore than any others so I'm not suprised with Tyler Glenn's stuff.Mind you if Paul McCartney was saying this stuff then people would take notice but he doesn't come across as an attention seeker Link to comment
The Nehor
And I thought my hobbies were puerile and pointless. Nice to be reminded that it could be much much worse. Link to comment

There are many here who defend the way the Church chose to present and teach its narrative. And that's their prerogative. But, this is the kind of stuff we're going to get when someone, particularly someone who has access to a microphone, feels the need to express the betrayal they are experiencing. 1 Link to comment

So he's chosen to separate himself from the Lord's church and he's the victim? 2 Link to comment

Yep, there was a period of time where he was going to hold out as an active gay mormon. The policy triggered his deep dive into some of the controversial issues that ultimately led to his separation from the church. I do hope that he is able to find peace. Link to comment

No different. The church has always had the same position on homosexuality. Edited August 11, 2016 by Rivers 2 Link to comment

If it did anything it drew a very clear line for the activists. The Church will remain open to all, but there are boundaries that must be observed and/or respected. It also provided an opportunity for activists to choose - they will either follow Christ or not. Those involved have chosen while for the rest there was no choice. 3 Link to comment

I didn't till I read about him here on the last thread. I knew some of the songs he had, but couldn't have told you the name of the group and definitely not the names of the musicians. 1 Link to comment

So how can he possibly be my responsibility? 1 Link to comment

As a member of the church, you might want to care given that he was a faithful gay church member who felt betrayed by both the Nov policy and the false narrative he was raised with. If nobody you are close to have been similarly affected, consider yourself fortunate. 2 Link to comment
