How can I get tickets to the May 7, 2023 dedication of the Richmond VA Temple?

For the dedication and not the open house?  I thought with dedications you had to get tickets from your local leader.

I think that’s right. Tickets to temple dedications are scarce, and they prioritize members of the new temple district.

Ahh.  Didn't catch that.  I meant the open house.  

However, if it is anything like in the last 15 years or so in my experience pretty much any recommend holding member in the area around the specific temple will be able to attend - just not in the temple itself.  It will come in closed circuit TV in the stake centers.  Mesa temple which was just dedicated in about the last year did this so I would assume that they are still doing it with newer temples. If that is the case, they will announce times in the ward a week or so in advance and you just take your recommend with you like you would the temple.

If they do the same as they did for the DC temple dedication, there are at least 3 ways you can try:

1.  Get a ticket from a stake president serving in the temple district.  Or call in any favors owed you by Elder Holland who will be presiding.

2.  Get asked to give a prayer or share a testimony during one of the three sessions.  The Marriott brothers spoke in one of the DC sessions.

3.  Sing in the choir
