rodheadlee Posted May 1, 2020 Author Posted May 1, 2020 (edited) Woo, Hooo We got our stimulus checks today. I'm meeting with the dredger guy today too. We may actually make it out of here June 3rd at high tide. This is the channel at low tide. June 3rd we get a 6.2 tide plus they will dredge 2 feet out of here. Our boat needs 7 feet to float safely. Popular Post rodheadlee Posted May 16, 2020 Author Popular Post Posted May 16, 2020 So, I have changed my modus operandi. I am now praying for our "protectors" to be benevolent. It seems to having better results. I'll explain. Our dredgers showed up to put a battery in the boat they were going to use to dredge with and the bad guys chased them off. They didn't want them using that boat. So after praying for benevolent protectors and crying to God about my situation the next batch of dredgers showed up and had a conference with the protectors before attempting anything. They agreed to let them dredge, they would protect them while they are doing it and they agreed to let 3 of us leave when it is finished. D day is June 3rd at high tide. All prayers appreciated. They have not given me a price yet. 6
rodheadlee Posted May 24, 2020 Author Posted May 24, 2020 (edited) Update: The Cowboys(bad guys) have been run out of here by a large group of locals (undercover police?). One is in jail the other is on the run. It kind of makes me nervous. The one on the run has a machine gun (I think) I hope they catch him soon. I hope he doesn't have a bunch of buddies with guns. The marines have made a few trips through here, I wish they would stay full time and open an office here. We put off the dredging until June 18th with D Day July 2nd due to complications with Covid-19 and too tight of a schedule. Edited May 24, 2020 by rodheadlee 2

Is it wrong to pray for the demise/death of evil people? Probably if there is still a chance for redepmtion it is? Is there examples of this in Scripture? Generally speaking I would say yes it is wrong. From the movie The Shootist: JB Books: I don't believe I ever killed a man that didn't deserve it. Bond: Surely, only the Lord can judge that. Normally we pray that God would soften the hearts of those who are harming us so they would quit. Or we pray that we might be able to withstand the hardship they are putting us through and maybe even learn something from it.
The Nehor Posted May 25, 2020 Posted May 25, 2020 (edited) If it is wrong to pray for the destruction of the wicked then Section 109 which is the Kirtland Temple dedicatory prayer is very wrong. It calls on the wicked to repent if possible but if not to have God’s judgment fall on them and to be destroyed “both root and branch”. I think you are good. Edited May 25, 2020 by The Nehor 2

It's a good thing my dredgers didn't start today. They would quit and never come back. I'm afraid to go up and see who got killed. I hope Victor is ok. rodheadlee Posted May 26, 2020 Author Posted May 26, 2020 (edited) We heard through the grapevine there are 3 dead up there. Maybe we should just get in our car and leave. I hate losing my home of 8 years, it's still worth 100k and we have a lot of miles and work in her. I guess we'll find out tomorrow. Edited May 26, 2020 by rodheadlee
Calm Posted May 26, 2020 Posted May 26, 2020 Is there anyone you can trust to stay in it for you...or semitrust? I guess there could be liability issues if they got hurt or hurt someone. What about selling it? At least you could get some money out of it besides abandoning it all. Maybe half?

We've been warned not to say anything or there would be much suffering. I am not sure why God didn't warn me not to come here. Maybe He did and I just did didn't hear it. I've done a few unwise things in my life that I wish the Lord had warned me against. And which I'm sure he did not. These were things that led to me learning painfully, so I guess there was a silver lining. There have also been things that weren't unwise on their face that led to problems (like your current situation), and I wasn't warned about those, either. I've also received marvelous guidance from time to time. I just had to accept that things will happen, and I just had to deal with them. All I can do is pray for you, and I'm doing that. 4

Is it wrong to pray for the demise/death of evil people? Probably if there is still a chance for redepmtion it is? Is there examples of this in Scripture? I don't think it's normally necessary to pray for evil people to die. I think it might be sufficient to pray for their plans and acts to fail, or to be found out in their wickedness and be thus stopped from doing more evil. But when I read "Thou shalt not murder" I don't see a prohibition of asking God to do the deed, since if God does it, it is by definition righteous. And if the deed be righteous, then what is there against praying for? It's not like God is your personal Hit Man. There are plenty of things that Stargazer has prayed for most sincerely, and it did not seem to be the case that just because Stargazer wanted it that God felt compelled to do it. It has surely seemed like God did what God knew was right. On the other hand, there are the righteous desires of the heart, which are praiseworthy, and the unrighteous desires of the heart, which are not. So which is it in this case? I'm confused. In the end, I think you should just pray for your situation to improve, to be given the wisdom to do what needs to be done, for circumstances and people to appear that bring about the righteous result, and let God sort it out, or not, as seems best to Him. And deal with it as best you can. 2

One thing I have learned is that I now have a desire to go home and take care of my parents instead of running off to the South Pacific. My Armageddon escape plan has always been to head out to a safe atoll in the S.P.. Now I don't care if I get caught up in the tribulations I just want to care for my parents. They have always told me "don't worry about us, we can take care of ourselves" but I see that's not true. 2

Victor the mechanic was one of the victims.😞 I don't know if he was one of the bad guy crew or retaliation from the bad guy crew. He always treated me nice. I saw him Sunday driving a boat he fixed with the customer onboard. He had a big smile on his face. I have a suspicion he was using stolen parts though. I don't know. I'm sad and I don't know who is winning. How long oh Lord, will the blood of the innocent cry up to the from the ground? Edited May 26, 2020 by rodheadlee 1

My prayer is that you will be able to dredge and sail on your way soon... that the Lord's protective hand will be upon you and Patti. And I hope you'll be able to do what is best for you, and for your parents... stay strong... GG edit to add: Rod, I don't know if you saw my post about having to put down my beautiful 20-lb Bobby-cat (that I had for 10 years)... But in Feb I went to the animal shelter and picked out a lovely, petite, little 2-yr old tortoise-shell female kitty... her markings are sooo pretty. She's very smart, loving, and vocal. I feel lucky to have found her... and she is lucky because she has the run of the house, and everything her little heart desires... from what I can tell, she's always been an indoor kitty and is content to sit in the windows watching all the critters/birds in the trees/yard. rodheadlee Posted May 26, 2020 Author Posted May 26, 2020 What really makes me mad is there was a family fishing on the end of the dock behind us. The laid down until the gunfire was over and a fisherman gave them a ride to our dock where they slunk up to their car and left. They were fully exposed, a husband, wife a boy and a girl. We are not allowed to be armed here to defend ourselves. If they chose to walk down the docks and kill us all we couldn't do a darn thing to stop them. It makes me really appreciate the 2nd amendment. 4
rodheadlee Posted May 28, 2020 Author Posted May 28, 2020 So, yeah. I would have to say your prayers are working and God is listening. While we were away to dinner at a friends house I get a text "keep your head down, bad guys roaming the docks with long guns and vests on". To make a long story short about 2 zillion cops of all kinds showed up along with the marines and they searched every boat and all of the condos. The rounded up 4 bad guys hiding on various boats and in the condos. My cats had really big eyes when we finally got home. We had to wait about 2 hours up the road while they finished their operation. I could tell our boat had been searched. I hope this is the end of this stuff and we can get on with dredging. I guess it was God's wisdom to put that off for a month. 4
rodheadlee Posted May 28, 2020 Author Posted May 28, 2020 It would appear the story of Victor's demise was incorrect. He is alive and well. 3
