nuclearfuels Posted January 24, 2020 Posted January 24, 2020 Wondering which of these two versions of the word ministering you find most endearing: Ministering-or's (like mortgagors) / Ministeringinos (like Flanders' neighborinos)? A lot is riding on your response
LoudmouthMormon Posted January 24, 2020 Posted January 24, 2020 True answer: Ministering brothers and/or sisters. Fun answers: Mister Minister Sister Minister Ministeringlings Nephites Sister Flinster the spinster ministering sister

I would choose that option but correct the spelling... it should be Ministeringese, rather than Ministeringee's. Other contendors: Ministeringoo, or Ministeringoos (could be confused with Ministering whose or Ministering ooze) Min'steroo(s) Min'steree(s) Ministering Muskeroo(s) Min'stering Muskeree(s) Ministering Musketeer(s) Minister(s)
CA Steve Posted January 24, 2020 Posted January 24, 2020 I like "Visiting Ministers". It bring back memories.
Kenngo1969 Posted January 24, 2020 Posted January 24, 2020 (edited) None. Ministering Angels. If both of your made-up words are intended to be plurals, neither one of them takes an apostrophe, but if you're going to be consistent, you should put an unneeded apostrophe in both of them. MustardSeed Posted January 25, 2020 Posted January 25, 2020 This whole topic speaks to me. I struggle calling myself a minister , so I just say “ministering person” which sounds wrong but anything else sounds icky.?
strappinglad Posted January 26, 2020 Posted January 26, 2020 (edited) From the dark side... Sinister Minister . Particularly for the left-handed ones. Edited January 26, 2020 by strappinglad
Tacenda Posted January 26, 2020 Posted January 26, 2020 (edited) I'm sad that my "ministering couple" are moving out of the state, I will miss them. I like "ministering couple" or "ministering person" like MustardSeed mentioned, as well. Edited January 26, 2020 by Tacenda
maj Posted January 26, 2020 Posted January 26, 2020 I enjoy Minist-ees for those in receipt of ministering...
