cherryTreez Posted March 25, 2019 Posted March 25, 2019 Maybe it's just me. I don't care if anyone gets things fixed that bug them. If they can afford, go for it. My dad says that even an old barn looks better with a new coat of paint. I would love to fix what having kids has done to me. I will never get my waist back to before kids without help. I torn muscles and it can't be fixed without surgery. I don't want bigger and better, just back to how I was before. Laser removal for the crows feet would be great too. 3

Well, I have a funny story. Several years ago my next door neighbor told me his wife was having surgery through a conversation but didn't tell me what for. So I told them I wanted to bring in dinner. So I brought it over and spoke with her for a few minutes while she laid on the couch, I hardly knew her, she was younger and they hadn't been married long. Then I left. They hadn't been married for long, but soon after they were divorced and she moved out, I think she had been unfaithful. Tacenda Posted March 25, 2019 Posted March 25, 2019 I have to say that people should be able to do what they want if it makes them happy or feel better about themselves. I had my eyebrows microbladed (tatooed) because mine fell out because of my hypothyroidism and it has been a pain to pencil them in every day. Too bad my brows have now faded and turned a weird pink color, so I'm back to penciling them in. And I know many women that get eyelashes, and tatooed eyeliner, lips etc. Someone mentioned Utah as having more put together women. A long time ago I heard or read that someone (out of towner) said that Salt Lake had the prettiest women. I use to be proud of that. But you know, I think there are more things than looks to be proud of nowadays!

I wish the messages of how we treat the body were more consistent . Leave body modification alone. Leave what we eat and drink alone. Leave how we exercise alone. Leave if we vaccinate or oil alone. Leave medicating alone . Let us figure out what is best for us, and teach us to pursue health and respect for the body. Teach us principles and let us guide ourselves.

I don’t care if people get (and pay for) elective cosmetic surgery for themselves. It’s when they impose it on others who are too young and helpless to have any say in the matter that I get bothered.

california boy Posted March 26, 2019 Posted March 26, 2019 My sister lived in the Ogden area for a while. She talked about the women in her ward and how many of them had boob jobs. It seemed like it kind of took over this ward. She said that it came from that pressure of trying to be perfect. Once a few women in the ward did it, it caught on with others. I personally have no issue with someone doing plastic surgery even if it is just to make themselves feel better about themselves. People constantly spend tons of money pursuing that very same thing in different ways like what car they buy or how big of house they buy or whatever they do to make themselves feel better about who they are. So plastic surgery is just another option among numerous other options. Is it all that different? My other sister, on the otherhand decided to get her eyebrows tattooed. She had to ask everyone in the family if that was some kind of sin since tattoos are frowned upon in the church. Even after she had them done, she still felt guilty doing it. I told her she was being silly about worrying, but it didn't seem to help. 3

I have a friend that had her breasts removed because of the high incidence of breast cancer in her family and then she had implants done. I'm worried because of something I heard on the news tonight. They mentioned that women who've had implants that aren't smooth, but are texturedm can cause cancer.
