Church Approves Electronic Method To Submit Tithes And Other Charitable Donations

I'm Finance Clerk as well.   Sounds like it will ultimately be a lot less work for us, but will probably require some additional training up front.  Now, when are they going to start sending a CC reader out with the deacons on Fast Sunday?   :acute:

I hope they will be able to credit individual missionary acounts or the "Other" accounts. From the screen shots it appears so.

Here's the official anouncement for electronic tithe paying:

How many here would be willing to use this electronic method?

I've been using it for a year or more.

It was available upon request, just not widely advertised.

I'm a finance clerk, too!  What fun!  I don't see what additional training will be necessary, though.  I've been using a similar system (probably not identical to what they will be rolling out), and I get my donations receipts via email every month, and an end-of-year wrap-up.  It doesn't involve my ward finance clerk at all.

Oh, and by the way I'm the finance clerk of our stake single's branch, not of my ward.

So, will we still have to print out a report for Tithing Settlement in December, or will the member just print it out themselves from the email they receive?

The year end contribution statements and final tax statement can be printed out from the Ward computer or online from your home computer. Either way it will still need the Bishop signature.

Actually, my end of year statement as it comes from the church via email (in PDF format) has a signature embedded in it.  My bishop signs the version I get from him, so I have two documents signed by different church authorities.

I assume you are using the electronic procedure that has been available for many memebrs for quite a while now, right?

Or are you one of the first to use the beta version of this new program?

This new program has a feature to print out tax statements on your own computer.

Yes, I've been using the previously available method.  I haven't been in on the beta test, though.
