Popular Post Antoni Posted April 5, 2015 Popular Post Posted April 5, 2015 Hi all, I've approached this conference with several BIG questions and issues in my life. I'd spent time this week laying them at Heavenly Father's feet and hoping Conference would be a time for me to get some clarity. Well what do you know - the first session of Conference was like a huge floodlight beaming into my soul. All the questions / issues were addressed and answers came. I was expecting to have to dig deep and patiently wait. Heavenly Father IS good. Here's to an exciting day today at Conference. I've learnt the importance of going with heart and mind prepared. I hope for others you have found it to be a blessed time so far too. Light, Love and Peace 11

Light, Love and PeaceYou are expressing what has happened to me time and again, especially in those periods of my life when I have been in great need of guidance. I've heard others say it too. 4
jwhitlock Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 This happens at conference over and over. You start wondering if some of the speakers have seen you personally by the Spirit when they're writing their talks. 3
Shanky82 Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 This has been my experience with Conference for the past several years. One of the speakers always touches upon something that I have been wondering about and the Spirit carries the truthfulness to my heart. 1
Senator Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 (edited) I'm happy you are having such a good experience with conference. ........and actually, a little envious Edited April 5, 2015 by Senator
Scott Lloyd Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 I'm happy you are having such a good experience with conference.........and actually, a little enviousBe careful what you wish for. The times when I have been most prone to such experiences are when I was going through particularly difficult experiences in my life.
Antoni Posted April 5, 2015 Author Posted April 5, 2015 This has been my experience with Conference for the past several years. One of the speakers always touches upon something that I have been wondering about and the Spirit carries the truthfulness to my heart. I know I'm being abundantly blessed, normally one or two speak to me, having just watched morning session, I can honestly say EVERY speaker has been speaking to me. Don't be envious Senator - glad you're happy for me. Last conference was perhaps a bit "barren" for me (due to life circumstances I'm sure and not going with level of preparation I have this time). I hope this mornings spoke to your spirit and will pray the afternoon session will. Light, Love and Peace
mfbukowski Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 Yep. Always happens.Did anyone else hear Elder Holland endorse evolution? "No HUMAN death before the fall." We hear what we listen for!
cinepro Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 Yep. Always happens.Did anyone else hear Elder Holland endorse evolution? "No HUMAN death before the fall." We hear what we listen for! I wonder if President Packer and Elder Nelson heard the same thing you did...
Teancum Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 Yep. Always happens.Did anyone else hear Elder Holland endorse evolution? "No HUMAN death before the fall." We hear what we listen for!Did he say that? The church had IT issues with the internet feed and it dropped a few minutes into the talk. Came back and the talk was over.
cinepro Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 I usually get the feeling that at least one of the speakers is speaking directly to me, but that didn't happen this year for some reason...
The Nehor Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 Elder Anderson was talking to me when he confirmed by beliefs on how awesome the Seocnd Coming is going to be. We have had little said lately about it. Nice to see it hit on again. 1
Avatar4321 Posted April 6, 2015 Posted April 6, 2015 I haven't listened to all the speakers yet and had some internet problems. But I loved president eyring and president monsons talks.
mfbukowski Posted April 6, 2015 Posted April 6, 2015 Did he say that? The church had IT issues with the internet feed and it dropped a few minutes into the talk. Came back and the talk was over.My recollection was that he said he did not understand it all, but he knew there was "no human death before the fall".Again, that is based on my recollection.IT issues abounded. Dunno what they did, but I hope they fix it.
Storm Rider Posted April 6, 2015 Posted April 6, 2015 Hmm, no IT issues here in the northwest - home for a few weeks before returning to Qatar.

Duncan Posted April 6, 2015 Posted April 6, 2015 We switched over to BYU TV on Sunday morning. The LDS direct feed kept freezing and locking up. same here in Zion, I mean Canada
cinepro Posted April 6, 2015 Posted April 6, 2015 Yep. Always happens.Did anyone else hear Elder Holland endorse evolution? "No HUMAN death before the fall." We hear what we listen for! Also, you might want to be careful which horse you hitch your cart too...
mfbukowski Posted April 6, 2015 Posted April 6, 2015 Also, you might want to be careful which horse you hitch your cart too...Huh? I have no problem with any of this. I think science and religion are equally valid in their own spheres. I don't know or care personally if the garden existed or was allegorical, in this continent on Mars or Kolob.None of this is falsifiable anyway, if it sounds like science or poetry, it doesn't much matter to me. I am just dreaming up consistent stories about how it might have been for those who do not dream up their own stories. All I know was that there was a definite reason that the word "human" appeared where it has never appeared in the story before. That was not an accident.
mfbukowski Posted April 6, 2015 Posted April 6, 2015 (edited) The best way to present a radical new view is to present it in very conservative language and use one or two words to shift the meaning entirely. That illustrates that the new view is consistent with the previous view, with a single tweakHe is a brilliant man. He is clearly a world class leader. Edited April 6, 2015 by mfbukowski
CMZ Posted April 7, 2015 Posted April 7, 2015 Elder Anderson was talking to me when he confirmed by beliefs on how awesome the Seocnd Coming is going to be. We have had little said lately about it. Nice to see it hit on again. When he got up to speak I almost told my fiance, "Elder Andersen likes to talk about the Second Coming and preparing for it." But I didn't say anything because I thought he might not bother to mention it this time.
