I am a complete believer in signs in the heavens being signs of the times. Scripture teaches that.The problem is that without analysis by prophetic authority it is all either speculation or misinterpretation. Unless the prophet receives revelation or inspiration telling him that these are significant we have no way of knowing what they mean. But do celestial events have significance in our religion? Of course they do.

Talk about an apocalypse!

Though if the global warming soothsayers are right, that we will see some signs in more droughts, hail storms, wars as nations fight over water, ocean levels rising and flooding cities, ect. The media makes global warming to be something to be in fear of. I look to it with anticipation. Get prepared and we shall not fear. I posted in the other thread the prophecy of Wilford Woodruff (confirmed by Brigham Young) that Boston will be swept into the sea by the sea overflowing its bounds.Global warming may help fulfill that prophecy. There were others besides the Magi who looked up in the sky and saw Nothing of consequence but the Magi saw a star that guided them to the Christ child.

No. These have been happening for a few billion years. They have happened over and over for the past 2000 as well and most Christian believers of any era believer the end was near.... including the apostle Paul and Jesus himself.

I'm going to assume you are speaking in relative terms. "Near" to Him can mean something completely different than it does to us. We see that repeatedly in the scriptures.
