I actually didn't ask the initial question, that was frank_jessop, but I did feel in his frustration when he got into the "that didn't answer the question" "yes it did" thing.

Your answer, all of your answers still has two readings:

1) You don't know of any evidence for it, but even if I did, you would only share it if you felt it pertinent to coming to Christ

2) You DO know of evidence for it, but since I don't find it pertinent to coming to Christ you're not sharing it.

Seeing that both these options are open, I find it hard to understand how you have fully answered the question of "do you know of aany evidence for..."

You don't need to answer the question if you don't find it pertinent, that's totally your choice, as you're not making the claim in the first place.

 

Wrong, again (you are still on a role). I have been completely silent about my knowledge of the evidence, and thus it can't logically be read within my consistent answer. One cannot read what wasn't written.

 

And, I have yet to claim that I have fully answered the specific question you quoted above or any other similarly worded  questions.posed repeatedly and asininely on this thread.

 

But, you are welcome to continue until you finally get it, and get it right.

I'm not answering for Wade, but there's as much evidence for polar bears living in Mesoamerica as there is for horses during BoM periods.

Here, I will just say it, so that whatever the agenda of those who keep asking about horses can be fulfilled/answered. There are no credible sources of C14 radioactive dating of horse bones. I just looked at the FAIRMormon WIKI and it seemed to give as complete of an answer for horses mentioned in the Book of Mormon as any. So, now someone can say that the only answer they got to the horse question on MormonDialogue board was to go to FAIR.

I took that to mean that you felt you had answered the question, which is where the confusion was for me.  But I think we're on the same page now.

I have often been wondering what accounts for the similarities between Mormonism and Swedenborg. I am a Mason and I joined the Martinist Order 2 years ago and you study the theology of Swedenborg, St. Martin, and Pasquall. I've noticed some things that are similar, such as the 3 levels of heaven, words given to pass sentinels, hand signs, praying around altar, and some similarity to the temple clothing but I wont mention that here. A lot of it builds on blue lodge masonry but I couldn't help noticing the similarities with Mormonism. I wonder if there is a way to connect them to a common source, maybe even an ancient one?

Didn't he have visions?  Why wouldn't the Spirit share the truth with others where it is seen as appropriate?  Perhaps to help open the mind of some seekers to accepting a greater truth once exposed to a lesser one for instance.

I would give what you call "a straight answer" to the question if I had made the claim in question and thought it relevant to coming to Christ and enabling us to become like him.

 

I would have thought this obvious by now after iterating and reiterating it about a half a dozen times. But, evidently, for some people, consistent repetition is not enough. Oh well.

Hint: saying that IF you made some claim to having the evidence you'd provide it doesn't answer it.

Hint #2: saying that you'd provide it only of it was relevant to coming to Christ doesn't answer any of it either.

It's like me hearing that vaccines caused autism, then asking my well-read friend if they'd seen any studies that vaccines can cause autism, and getting the reply "I'd tell you if I made the claim that vaccines caused autism."

I only have so much time to be on here and I love honest, direct answers (many could use calmoriah as an example as she is so helpful). I do understand though that some like to joke around and I assume that's what wenglund was probably doing.
