DH
Yeah, I saw that on the news. What an awful, tragic thing. Why would anybody do something like that? Edited December 14, 2012 by DH Link to comment

Duncan
Horror on every level. A child in my stake was killed last night in a car accident and now this, terribly tragic. 1 Link to comment

I know. I can't speak for Conneticut, but i know that if it was Wyoming or Montana, the safest thing for the gunman would be for the police to be the ones to find him. 2 Link to comment

Marmonboy
Apparently he did, thus depriving the rest of us the satisfaction. How evil do you have to be to wipe out a classroom full of kindergartners? Link to comment

They had news people at the school I worked at, interviewing two kindergarten teachers about school safety. Now I know why. Apparently it happened to a kindergarten class in Connecticut. Why can't the killers just end their lives and not have to take others with them. When I think of the afterlife, I picture the killer surrounded by those he killed. And if he has any heart/conscience at all, the pain involved eternally for what he has done. That to me, is hell. Edited December 14, 2012 by Tacenda Link to comment
Stargazer
I am scared for my own kids.As horrible as this event is, considering how many schools and schoolchildren there are in this country, this is a very rare event. So you shouldn't be worried. More people are killed each day on the roads than were killed in this event. It is safer in school by far than on the roads. But I am still bummed out about it. 1 Link to comment

Calm
http://www.mormonnewsroom.org/article/first-presidency-expresses-condolences-in-wake-of-connecticut-shootingIt is hard to imagine the type of person who can look on the young as a target to be destroyed, to be able to pull the trigger at the same time as looking at their faces. bluebell
As sad as this is it is incredable that people are already using it as an excuse to ban guns. Very poor taste IMHOGuns were already banned at the elementary school. Obviously, that didn't stop this tragedy. But i agree that this is not the time to politicize or try to advance an agenda, whatever agenda it is. Link to comment
Stargazer
And Saints Alive's post was????I think I'm beginning to understand some folk's fear of socialism. They don't understand what the word social means.No. What makes you think that? But this is the Social Hall. Not the Socialism Hall. Let's leave the politics out, shall we? 1 Link to comment
Rivers
They are saying that this is the worst shooting in the U.S. next to the Virginia Tech massacre. But I would consider this the worst because the victims are young children. Not only did this take place in an elementry school but he went into kindergarten classrooms! This makes me sick. Evil won yesterday. Edited December 15, 2012 by Rivers Link to comment
Deborah
I first heard this while I was in the car and started crying. One of the little girls in that classroom has family in Utah and they keep showing her picture. She was an angel not only in appearance but apparently in her loving personality. Ok, I'm tearing up just thinking about it.I look at my little grandchildren and can't imagine the agony one must feel that such innocence should be taken so ruthlessly and without apparent emotion. This illustrates that there is such a thing as real evil in the world. Whether the guy had mental problems or not it was a totally evil act. 1 Link to comment
