Calm Posted December 20, 2012 Posted December 20, 2012 I have mixed feelings about this. It is great to show someone love and caring, but they also have a lot to deal with at this time. Flooding them with mail they feel obligated to pay attention to may not be the best thing for them at this time when they need to give full attention to other things.Hopefully someone on the fringes, friends who are there to support them will take over the task of dealing with the 'flood' and simply pass on the good wishes in 'bulk' so they are easiest to deal with for them.

Calm Posted December 23, 2012 Posted December 23, 2012 I was reading where the townspeople for the most part are asking (and in some cases demanding) the newsmedia to leave as they want to get on with their lives, to deal with it privately and not as some sort of reality show for the rest of the world to watch. Hopefully they will be able to do so. 4
Tacenda Posted December 23, 2012 Posted December 23, 2012 (edited) I subbed at a school for a week this past week where a teacher rallied all of the teachers to have their students make hearts to send to the families in Conneticut. I missed the memo so my class never did it. When I was asked if I had any hearts to give I explained why I was empty handed. Were it not for Cal's earlier post I would have felt awful about it.
