So you are saying I could have applied and been considered for the job since I have the only needed qualification of being a woman.

DEI requires that appointments be made which will fill a necessary gender/racial/political/social/oppressed identity, and merit is never a valid consideration.  The cart is always put before the horse.  This is particularly common in Marxist societies, but has recently been adopted in some Western polities.  It requires the dumbing down of everything.  Unwillingness to kowtow to the DEI powers that be (disloyalty), results in automatic expulsion from the list of potential candidates.

This is not actually happening. It is what some people want some other people to believe.

It is cute how the demographic with the most power in our society is trying to cast themselves as persecuted victims. Wait, not cute. What’s the word I am looking for? Oh, right, crazy. It is crazy. In there is the implicit idea that transgender anarchists or whatever are the really powerful group who are secretly controlling things despite being a persecuted minority. It is 1930s German thinking. The Jews are maginalized and we all don’t like them but somehow they are secretly powerful and are causing all of our problems.

And people fall for it EVERY time. We learn nothing.

Yours is a delusional version of reality, Nehor, and probably a version which will destroy us all.

Wow do you really want those that are disadvantaged to stay that way?  Or are you under the delusion that you being white is a level playing field for those that are not.

CFR the bold…and from actual DEI administrators, please, not their critics.  I can see this being a perception of critics (which may be how you intend it), but it seems highly unlikely that it is actually part of the DEI process in interviews, etc.

DEI wokeness is a cult, and DEI administrators make a practice of lying to their victims and to themselves.  They are enemies of the open society, and make every effort to extirpate the bogeymen of free speech and due process.  Read the works of Robin DiAngelo and Ibram X. Kendi for prime examples of this sort of demented thinking.  It does indeed seem hardly likely that anyone would take us back to the days of George Corley Wallace and Lester Maddox, but they and their coterie of companions have done just that.

Wokeness is a widely shared delusion.  Elon Musk calls it a "mind virus."  It actually creates the hell it seeks to eliminate.

"you being white is a level playing field for those that are not?"

What does this mean? I have to presume that you're attacking the concept of colorblindness?

It means that racism is a real thing in this world.  No not everyone is a racist.  But I know applying for a job or getting stopped by a cop, I don't every have to worry about the color of my skin.  Maybe even a lot of the time, skin color is not an issue.  But I do know that sometimes it is a factor.  Pretending that the world is colorblind is not a life many people in this world and specifically this country have experienced.  Some places are definitely worse than others.
