An English version is not in our hymnals, and probably won't find its way into the new upcoming hymnbook, either. This is probably because it is a Marian hymn, a devotion to the Virgin Mary. Of course we LDS revere her as well, but not as an object of religious devotion. Here's an English version of the hymn: This is one Christmas song from Childhood I still love.

Stargazer Posted May 17, 2025 Posted May 17, 2025 (edited) Since YouTube gloms onto what one is watching in order to provide more similar things, I was carefully watching news and podcasts about the current India-Pakistan conflict. So what shows up in my recommended videos is some music connected with the two nations. Here's the Indian National Song, Vande Mataram, as sung by popular musician A.R. Rahman. It's kind of stirring, so I thought you might enjoy it. Vande Mataram means "I praise you, Motherland." Edited November 19, 2025 by Stargazer 2
Brooklyn Posted July 27, 2025 Posted July 27, 2025 I'm 66 years old, and I grew up listening to phonograph music that was old when I was born. Does anyone remember Dean Martin, Patty Paige, Pat Boon, or Tommy Dorsey?

I have a few Google accounts for that reason, I look for a lot of things in Japanese, some Chinese. If you can read kanji, you can figure out a lot of Chinese since it's the same. I get stuff like this sometimes. 2
