When anyone tells you to follow them and you will be blessed, even if what they tell you is wrong, but don't worry it will never be wrong... run away. Run away very fast.

Are you serious about wishing to interact with '78? Because with what you just posted here, I cannot imagine why I would wish to interact with Teancum. Please advise what you intend.

Or do you agree with me that I have not done that? Edited April 5, 2019 by ALarson 1

Calm Posted April 5, 2019 Posted April 5, 2019 You can actually use the ignore function so you don't even have to see posts themselves and thus only have to resist reading them when they are quoted. This can help cut down on the need to tell someone you are ignoring them...which kind of proves you are not. Just observing. ;) 4

I'll just not respond to him in the future and I'd rather just do that as I'm not a fan of personal attacks or name calling. (But apparently, I do like to gossip 😂) Edited April 5, 2019 by ALarson

If I read and think of something, I start typing. The fact that I write epics is probably useful in only this regard...I have enough time by the end of composing my post that my second thoughts can get through and then delete works great. Having to choose to read a post that is on ignore reminds me not to let my buttons get pushed. Works most the time.

CV75 Posted April 6, 2019 Posted April 6, 2019 Here's something no one can ignore! We have a pattern of the Lord changing His will, sometimes quickly, for the sake of conditionality and expediency (see the many examples in the Doctrine and Covenants). This observation will hopefully help those who have difficulty with equating policy changes with a lack of inspiration, revelation, etc. and confusion over doctrinal changes.

We have a pattern of men interpreting the Lord in such a way that it seems He may have changed His will. 1

I've tried to be clear that I believe you're mistaken and misled, but it's in G-d's bailiwick to judge your and my hearts. Just as a certain protestant padre was once told he'd been deceived by a malicious intelligence, and G-d, through His messenger, delivered to the poor deceived soul a message of hope and love, so I believe this instant recasting/adjustment of the policy is intended as a message of hope and love. I defy anybody to find an ounce of anger in it. I'm not crazy about it, as I think it will tend to empower the outsider malefactor class. But I'm not paid to make such decisions. I do understand that the change is not without risks. I do hope that gay parents do not try to use it in political ways. I think I understand your concerns, but I do hope/believe that in the end it will be for the overall good - especially for children who wish to be baptized, who previously could not. We can hopefully put an end to the divisiveness the policy caused.
