savedwheat Posted January 22, 2016 Posted January 22, 2016 I'm allowed to start a post but it doesn't let me reply to posts. How come?

rodheadlee Posted January 22, 2016 Posted January 22, 2016 (edited) Testing I had 3 post swallowed up today. I just tried again to post on the Lehi never came to America thread. What's up? Edited January 22, 2016 by rodheadlee
sunstoned Posted January 22, 2016 Posted January 22, 2016 I have noticed recently that at times I will not be able to post. I give it a day, and then I can post. I am not sure what is causing this to happen.
Scott Lloyd Posted January 22, 2016 Posted January 22, 2016 Strange things are happening. A mod tried to suspend consiglieri yesterday but couldn't do it. It's mighty sorry message board software that won't permit an admin to impose an immediate suspension.
Thinking Posted January 22, 2016 Posted January 22, 2016 (edited) Plus my post count was approaching 2000 but then the new software subtracted some posts from the total. I was going to walk away at 2000 but now you all will have to endure my posts a little longer. Just kidding! I'm too addicted to this board and I enjoy watching Scott and Russell give each other rep points. Edited January 22, 2016 by Thinking 1

I don't know offhand of anyone else here who has exceeded that feat. I couldn't have gotten him there single-handedly, even if I had repped all his posts -- which I haven't. Kevin Christensen's are higher iirc. 2

That's hilarious! And quite true! And, I hope that consiglieri doesn't get suspended. He's made things much more interesting around here lately and has started some great conversations that I've enjoyed reading (all of the opinions and thoughts).

I am at about 3/4 rep/post ratio. I need to step up my game. 1

Of course, it must be acknowledged that for old timers here, like calm (and I include myself in that category), many of their posts were made in the years before rep points came into being. Their ratios will thus be misleadingly low. And Russell's can only be reckoned from the point in time that I will call the reboot, when his online identity became what it is today. Still, averaging more than one rep point per post is remarkable. Edited January 22, 2016 by Scott Lloyd

But I'd prefer not to get into a protracted discussion about the posting behavior of someone here.
