etz Posted January 21, 2016 Posted January 21, 2016 I hate to say it, but with the new and improved kiosks at McDonalds, Burger King's flame-broiling seems better than ever.

And the new "create a taste" thingy doesn't seem to be such a great value compared to the 2 for $2 menu. I mean, you can get 2 Big Kings for 5 bux. That's like 2 flame-broiled big macs. And who doesn't love flame broiling? 1

Both Burger King and Jack-in-the-Box in my area have tried the kiosks over the last decade. The Burger Kings that they were in removed them about 6 years ago. The Jack-in-the-Boxes removed them about 1 year ago. Didn't McDonald's try to outsource their Drive-thru ordering to India a while back? Didn't that end up flopping?

JLHPROF Posted January 21, 2016 Posted January 21, 2016 Neither makes anything close to a good burger. The only reason I chose McDonalds (and the only reason I keep going there) is their fries. Wendys, Carls, and Five Guys all make better fast food burgers. But fast food is still a last resort if there is real food available, especially since fast food is no longer cheaper than real food. 1

When you go thru the Drive-thru it seem like they have to run to India to get it. 1

Yesterday my family ate at the Outback and my son's girl friend said her steak at Chili's was sooo much better there for some reason, and the Outback is known for perfectly cooked steaks, go figure. I won't go back again, 3rd time of being disappointed!
