Now I can not even do copy. Why is that? (Although the paste function seems to be available) When I go to my account, I seem to have lost access to my contents? Which can be annoying because the "unread content" does not allow me access to my previous postings for the purpose of review or making additional comments. I have to wait for other board members to post on a particular thread before I can see it on the "unread content" list again.

Now I can copy (when I use the control key). But when I do a "right click" the pop up window shows a list of functions with the copy greyed out and the paste bolded. The "quote" function can be done for the whole post. What I want to do is to break that post into a series of smaller "subquotes". In the previous software, there was a button that enabled me to change the graphics into HTML code view. Which I used to modify the formatting.

Which I used to modify the formatting. You might want to try a different internet browser to get your copy back. I had to go to Opera as nothing else fixed it. Once you get copy, cut, and paste back then to break up a post you are replying to you just select all the text but the first part you want to respond to and cut it out of the quote box. That leaves the one point in there, with the poster's name like usual. You respond and then below your response you paste back in the rest of the post you had cut out. Then you select and highlight all but the NEXT point you are going to respond to and cut out everything but one point again. Select and highlight that point and hit the quote button so it's quoted. Respond. Paste the previous stuff back in and repeat the process until you've broken it up and responded to as many individual parts as you want. It sounds complicated but it's actually easier than going into the code and doing it the old way.

Problem with that is that if you don't quote the person directly they won't be notified of a reply. So if you copy the text and paste it into a generic quote box it works, but won't notify the person.

Then I use the cut and paste options (and the quote button) to divide up their post into bite sized quote blocks that I can respond to individually. Their name is still listed on the first quote block though.

That took forever and nearly drove me insane. Some people used to go into the code version of a post on the old format and move the quote and unquote tags around to break it up. I've done it that way too but it's a lot more work than this way.
