From a physical standpoint isn't it more like when you die your physically restored to all your faculties in spirit paradise/prison? Do we have to wait until the resurrection to get physically restored to perfect health?
ksfisher Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 Our bodies while in spirit paradise/prison will not be physical bodies, but spirit bodies. Hence the need for a later resurrection to unite the spirit body with an immortal physical body. 1

Do we have to wait until the resurrection to get physically restored to perfect health?Seeing that no one has perfect health (especially when they die!), I would say yes, that perfect health is only enjoyed in the resurrection. Inasmuch as we experience righteous joy as a result of responding to our physical senses, and those physical senses become (or always are) somewhat compromsed and ultimately come to an end in mortality, all those losses are also certainly made up in the resurrcetion. This is our hope, and if we live righteously, we can enjoy tehm in a fulness. Since the spirit world is prior to the resurrection, there is no physical component to our makeup there. We are disconnected from our physical bodies so any perception and joy (or misery) is spiritual and discerned with purer eyes (and the other four+ purer senses). In some cases where the cause or mortal trial and misery is purely the weakness of the flesh, this disconnection could be a blessed relief from physical, mental and emotional pain and illness, etc. and the spiritual lessons we've learned from such bitterness in our mortal lives will become sweet. 2

It's a problem with your physical body that affects your hearing now. In the spirit world you won't have a physical body, so no hearing problems.

In the spirit world you won't have a physical body, so no hearing problems.Yes, you will "hear" just as clealry in that spirit realm as anyone can expect to hear in this "separably connected" realm.

Spirit bodies are as perfect in their sphere as resurrected bodies. All are beautiful beyond human standards of beauty and function perfectly. 1

I disagree. Beauty is worth having exist for its own sake. Beauty here is for the enjoyment of others but, like many other gifts here, it can be perverted, either through vanity or by others through envy. There, all will be beautiful to maximize the joy of all. To lose our appreciation for beauty by "not caring" would be to diminish us. I certainly hope my appreciation for a mountain or a waterfall will be increased when I am perfect; I expect my appreciation for the human form to be augmented as well. 1

They will but only once they recognize the perfection of the weak mortal features. Augmented? Are you suggesting something here?? Perfection in all things.
