That makes much more sense, lol. The comparison of Bakker and Palin was pretty obscure as far as I could tell. A couple of people who were going on mostly about fake eyelashes.  I got the idea they just didn’t like Palin.  I thought it might have been a short lived meme you remembered since I don’t see you as the malicious type. 
 

It is Tina Fey, btw.

"The Kindness of Strangers" on Netflix was the most moving movie I've seen for a very long time. It affected me so much afterwards, in an amazing way..whether it was the subject or acting or human kindness theme. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt6515910/

I enjoyed the Adam Project. Good family fun! 
 

I also liked Uncharted. It isn’t groundbreaking but a good movie based on a video game. (Tip. Suspend your disbelief and enjoy the ride.)

Thumbs up from my family.  I felt like it was a ton of cliches mixed into one movie, but they were pure fun, wish fulfillment as in all the best parts of childhood favorites (or early parenthood if as old as I am) so it worked well.  The kid was excellent, made the movie, imo.

Didn’t overpower the part. He was believably bratty without being annoying and made it so Reynolds could talk back at him without coming across as a bully, but also sympathetic without milking it.

It is his first acting job. I was curious about him, so googled. Apparently he is quite the Deadpool fan and has much of the shows memorized…so much for them being rated R. No doubt it helped him get the similar rhythm to Reynolds.

Caught this just last night, and I thought it was pretty good - though, to be fair, as a Netflix original movie I went in with pretty low expectations, so maybe that factored into it.

My husband isn't a movie buff, he will only like movies that are a true story of someone or incidents. He loves reality shows like Survivor, American Idol, AGT, Alone on Netflix, etc. or boxing/cage fighting or football, basketball and golf. It's been so difficult to be married to someone that can't watch most movies w/o falling asleep or criticizing it throughout.

Well, on Sunday I started watching The Adam Project, and he couldn't believe I was watching it, making fun of me. I was like, "Dear, get an imagination!". Maybe I shouldn't have said that, but it hurts me because I love movies, and how they can take me out of the real world and I need that. My husband will say while watching a movie, "Well, that can't happen in real life", stuff like that.

He's not a dumb guy, but he just can't watch a movie, or sitcoms not of his certain criteria. His brothers and friends love movies or sitcoms or series. Have you known someone like him? It's been a real thorn in my marriage. But he has been to a lot of movies with me, he at least will attend. It's just been in the last few years that he's so critical about whatever I watch now. Maybe it's his old age getting to him or his loss of hearing, working on that now, trying to get him to get hearing aids.

My husband is kind of the same way.  He doesn't have a very big imagination and he doesn't really stuff that requires him to use it.  I love fantasy movies or scary movies or sci/fi, dystopian, stuff like that, and he barely tolerates them.  He loves political thrillers and I hate those.  Movie nights can be tough at our house.  

We've learned to take turns and let each other like what they life (for the most part).

If you really want to mess with him look up how fake most realities shows are and show him some of that stuff.  A lot of reality shows require the watcher to suspend belief just as much as some movies.  😂

Dune (2021)... I liked it I guess, visuals were good but there was so little happening, dragging along, and then an abrupt end. I wouldn't think I'd watch it again. I enjoyed Dune Miniseries (2000) better... but the first segment of that series ends where the movie ends. Maybe I only liked it better because I watched the Miniseries segments back to back so the sudden end didn't bother me.

I never would have thought it would happen given how I adore the idea of comic book superhero movies, but I got bored with the Marvel version pretty much back at Antman 2. They come across to me as a series of highly choreographed fight scenes with enough plot to justify their existence.  I thought Strange would be fun because it would get into the mystical, but they pretty much destroyed my expectations in the first film, first having him injured for an absolutely stupid reason (what kind of doctor would trust he’d be able to give X-rays the attention they deserve especially if complicated case like it was supposed to be while driving even at 20 mph?) and second, Swinton as the Ancient One (love her, but casting a European as the ultimate mystic when the main lead is also European is insulting; the original from the comics was born in the Himalayas).
