I’m waiting for it to finish. Read book one  twice. I can’t keep reading start to finish over and over again to refresh my memory as each book comes out.

Now, I hear, I may have to read other books from the cosmere too. 🤦‍♀️ I read Elantris, Mistborn, Warbreaker long ago.

Saw Ghostbusters Afterlife.  It was fun, solidly entertaining and was a continuation of the story and lore from the first ghostbusters (just decades later).  Most of the original cast even makes an appearance.

It's probably the most child-friendly of the franchise, as the protagonists are kids/teenagers.

Finally watched the new James Bond No Time to Die.  I'm a so-so Bond fan.  Just going off of the Craig era, Casino Royale was really good.  Every Bond movie to follow wasn't nearly as good in my opinion.  This last installment to his time as Bond is really really different than all the others.  Bond gets a redemption arc that is unique to the entire series and the ending is a first. There are some sentimental parts as well that you don't usually see.  Plus, Bond utters the question "Where'd you get the Book of Mormon?" at one part, so that was weird/fun.

I thought it was overly long, and as always the chase/fight scenes are redundant and too long as well, but the story was compelling and it was entertaining to watch.

I wonder if it’s more friendly to non fans. My brother told me not to bother but he likes bond movies. 
 

I would consider myself a so-so fan of Bond too so maybe I will like it…except for the overly long action scenes. I get bored.

King Richard. The story of Serena and Venus Williams and how their father trained them and raised them. I’m not a tennis fan but I really enjoyed this film. It was clean, and Will Smith did a very good job playing the father.

Sounds like it may have left out a few less attractive aspects, not unsurprisingly.

Wheel of Time really gets going after episode 3.  
 

I’m a bit ‘meh’ on the Hawkeye series. A bit too cutesy for me. Will keep watching.

Enjoyed Eternals. Had low expectations going in but liked the slower paced story telling. 
 

Encanto was an enjoyable movie. A bit forgettable.

Finally watched "Cruella", while tending my granddaughter, on DisneyPlus. Such a good movie, and the music, so much good to say about it. Not what I was expecting.

Unlike the previous few, I had trouble keeping my attention and only watched half.  I figured it was just me.  I had come to really like Daniel Craig; I'd watch anything he's in now.

Also in the Brit-recurring-character-casting category:  I'm no Whovian but Jodie Whittaker as Dr.Who works for me. She had kind of a restrained role in Broadchurch; Dr.Who better showed off what she can do. I'll be sorry to see her go.

I am struggling to get through episode 1.  I'm so confused.

My husband never read the books, but says the first couple of episodes really dragged and now he is getting into it.

Good. No. New character trait not in the book. She is a lesbian in a relation with leader of the Aes Sendai.

See I'm a little annoyed by that. I really admired it when the book characters respected strict boundaries - especially when proximity hinted otherwise. 

Not everyone held that line but the books were inspiring in how there were some personal lines that didn't get crossed. Losing that comes at a cost, I think.

If you make it to ep2, maybe go back and rewatch ep1. See if it coalesces better.

I read the books awhile ago and one of the reasons I quit was the many love interests of the main character. I found his morals lacking. But, I don’t remember the details. 
 

I find some of their edits/additions/characterizations annoying in the series. It does not seem to enhance the main plot points.

My 1980s roommate was a Dr.Who fanboi. After a couple of years of that, it was a given I'd never watch that show again - but then Christopher Eccleston showed up in 2005 and suckered me in. No one will ever top him.

I'm pretty sure they're going to retain those love interests. My reasoning is that whole Green ménage à trois thing was to offer a sort of preemptive counter-balance.

Like Perin's dead wife subplot. They're doing a lot of work to maintain that and I don't know why. Being mopey was already his Tyverian superpower.

I agree, he was great. Wish they had him longer.

I have to watch every year, for some reason it never gets old. My husband not so much, can't believe your kids watched since it's in black and white, haha. Recently read about the history of how this filmed got made or how the war affected it.
