As a very straight person, I am annoyed that Hooters caters to children. How disingenuous. Their business is built on the sexualization of women’s breasts. That is their brand. Stay away from kids.

I don't fault anyone for struggling with the problem of evil. It is deep and complex, especially when we factor in natural evil (natural disasters). I don't think there is any theodicy that sufficiently solves it, so it comes down to faith, and who am I to fault someone who is going through a terrible time if their faith falters.

In Catholicism, the journey towards mystical union with God has a stage called "the dark night of the soul" (a phrase coined by the Mystical Doctor of the Church St. John of the Cross). This is a stage filled with confusion and doubt because one cannot see the path or see the goal and one feels abandoned by God. If Christ Himself can cry out "Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?" then I believe that God is fully merciful when we cry out the same. The dark night of the soul can be a crisis of faith, and many mystical saints have described their experience as such. I would never fault them for doubting; their spiritual lives are far beyond mine. The lack of a struggle with faith at some point might even problematic, as faith might not able to progress without it.

I think both sides are wrong here. 

Are both sides equal in terms of level of sexualization and how many children they are impacting? Nope.

So hopefully you will decry and cease to listen to the propagandists pointing to what is, at best if you squint hard, a minor problem while ignoring a much larger threat to many more kids. And ask why these propagandists are willing to misdirect everyone in this way.
