This one is really hard to believe but I guess it's true:

Teen dies while reading mission call in Provo, Utah

PROVO, Utah — A family is mourning the sudden loss of their son who said “his heart just gave out” after reading his mission call for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Liam Mildenstein drove with his family from Miami, Florida, to Provo, Utah, for vacation when his mission call arrived.

According to a GoFundMe,* “Liam was 19 years old and eagerly anticipating opening his mission call, hoping with all his heart it would be in Japan.”

Gathered with family and friends to read the mission call, Mildenstein read the call out loud and read the location, “Tokyo, Japan,” when he collapsed.

Despite the best efforts of medical personnel, Mildenstein died. Provo police confirmed Mildenstein’s death and said it was medical in nature and was not suspicious, though the cause of death will not be known until an autopsy is completed.

The family said on its GoFundMe, “We are devastated. All of this is completely surreal, and being far from home creates so many difficult circumstances that we are reaching out for any help or assistance possible. We want to ensure that Liam can be laid to rest peacefully in the middle of all of this chaos. Thank you for the love and support we feel from all of you.”

His brother has posted Additional information on the r/exmormon reddit along with a AMA session.  Here is his opening post:

I don’t want misinformation floating around so I’m trying to remedy that. I’m his exmormon older brother.

Here are the facts:

  • he had no known health conditions

  • he passed right after saying Tokyo Japan (my theory is that he got so excited it put stress on his heart)

  • we’re awaiting the autopsy

  • Liam really loved Japanese anime/manga so that was why going to Japan was so exciting for him

  • He truly was an amazing lovable person

For some context of how surprising this was, we literally were at a water park and going to gyms the week prior.

Yeah me too. I'm also heartbroken for his family as well. And the boy offcourse. I feel sad. How can something like this happen? For someone so young.

Why is asking for money?

They should be able to support themselves with all the money Mormons steal.

Although I anticipate your stay will be a short one because I just reported you, welcome to the forum.

No news on the cause yet (I am assuming there is going to be a basic autopsy, but not suspicious so maybe it may take awhile).

The Go Fund fundraiser has met its goal.

Oh my. This story is absolutely heartbreaking. : ( He seems like a wonderful young man. I can't but help think of my own daughter who is currently serving in Argentina. Most of the time these tragedies seem so random. I have told my family on multiple occasions that we should consider ourselves the luckiest person alive regardless of whatever eventuality besets us. I am 57. If the good Lord takes me in 5 minutes I want everyone to know I consider myself the luckiest man alive to have lived and breathed and to have experienced love. RIP, Elder Mildenstein.

This makes me wonder what happens to some hearts when being extremely excited about something. The mention of anime and that he was going exactly where he wanted to go.

The CDC has acknowledged Myocarditis, or inflammation of the heart, as a side effect of the COVID jab for young men.

Are you implying a connection?  If so what evidence do you have that there is one?  Why would you bring up COVID immunization and not all of the other reasons that could cause heart failure in a young man?

We will have to wait for the autopsy results.
